Überdruck Biography

The story began in one of the first techno clubs in Germany the Reactor club in NRW, founded in ‘93 by Dirk Nothroff. With more than 10 years DJ experience he initiated the club, working as resident DJ under the name “The Crow”. After 4 years Dirk handed the club over to his successor Timo Maas so he would have more time for dj bookings and to produce his own style of music and build his personal studio. After separating from his former production partner after three successful years work he met his current studio partner, David Rzenno, and sharing musical interests, they decided to get together and build up a fresh new style of music…Überdruck was born.
Their first Überdruck collaboration was ‘Drugface’. A remarkable picture disc released at the beginning of 2001. ‘Drugface’ had an unequalled resonance within the club and DJ-scene and also found its way into the playlists of many radio stations in the UK (Judge Jules, Dave Pearce – Radio One ). The second and third releases ‘Now Or Never’ and ‘Bloody Slut’ continued with the success and were licensed to numerous worldwide compilations.
Dirk and David produce all the singles for Überdruck in their own studio. They’ve also worked on projects under the names "The Crow (4 sales chart hits incl the UK), Drugface, C4, Toolboy, Schalldruck and Lazard (entered German sales chart at 35)". Plus remixes in their studio for DJ Shredda, Signum, Organ Donors, Fallout Boy, Lazard, Drugface and the Gladheads.
In a short time the Überdruck Label has become one of the biggest selling techno/ hardtrance/hardstyle labels in Germany and the UK, where a lot of other successful producers have found a platform for their impressively unique style of music.
Highlights have included the licensing of ‘Drugface’ for the UK’s Bulletproof Label, the Drugface picture disc singles ‘Fat as Fuck’ & ‘Fill Me’ and the Überdruck Boys ‘Blue Pill’. The latest Drugface single, out now, is called ‘All Good Buddy’ and the next Überdruck release will be out later this spring. The Überdruck dj sound and style is very popular throughout the world. Dirk takes responsibility for most of the worldwide DJ bookings although David sometimes joins him on tour. Überdruck perform on a regular basis in the UK for Helter Skelter, Slammin Vinyl, Escape, Goodgreef, Frantic, Antiworld, Tidy, Tranzaction, Dance Academy, Technology, Bionic and loads more. They’ve toured Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Poland, Finland, Canada, Switzerland and much of the rest of Europe. The next trip “down under” is already booked for later this year. The future will bring more crazy/nasty singles from Dirk & David on both Überdruck & Schalldruck Recs with an ‘Überdruck-Records Label Tour’ compilation planned too!

Named No 1 'Hard DJ' by Mixmag in 2004 & 'Best Worldwide Teckno DJ' by the Scottish Dance Music awards 2 years in a row.
Lenny Dee founded Industrial Strength in 1991 which is one of the first and most revolutionary Hardcore / Techno labels in the world. He has also written and produced on labels such as Nu Groove, 4th floor, Rotterdam Records. Warner Bros, Strictly Rythmn, R&S , Music Man, Atlantic Records, Third Movement, Various singles on Chris Liberator's Stay Up Forever Collective and currently has a track on PS2s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' (as "Fallout'). Lenny Dee has been DJing since the Mid 80s and has played all over the world at some of the biggest parties such as May Day, Love Parade, Woodstock, Tribal Gathering, Helter Skelter, Rezerection, Energy, Thunderdome, the Jane's Addiction Reunion tour & the list goes on. His album 'Noise Brulee' with Radium (Audiogenic) features the 1st Hardcore Techno music video to get national airplay in France and he has also started a new label with Holland's DJ Promo - Industrial Movement. SEAN "Physical Ed" WARDS (Performer) Yorkshire man by birth... raised by way of the big smoke, (London) and schooled in mime, hoofing and Boogaloo. Inspired by community theatre, disillusioned by commercial TV/Cinema and humbled through years of domestic meditation (dishwashing, veg prepping, etc.) thus a background in domestic utilities was spawned and the gateway to Stomp opened; he's been bruising boots ever since (5 years and running baby!!) and he probably won't stop till he finds the one... Love to all he knoweth, for they facilitate the growth!! Koexist... U$4... IKLY... Countdown... 2012... 2B3!?

We hope to have this event grow and continue year in and year out , it will only get bigger if you allow it too! We missed capacity by 47 people last year , the most people ever at a Exit Bk event, im sure after the full lineup is posted we will do that and more this year! Expect to wait until people leave to get in if we hit capacity I said it last year and will say it again "FIRST COME FIRST SERVE" While it is free we only have the capabillity of having 900 people enjoy this event! With all the loyal supporters of all the crews that will happen!

Im sorry but this is far from a start! This is actually the second one that I have organized in the last 2 years as well as many of our other events that are always themed and low costing!

It is in no way shape or form the way it used to be but there are still one of kind events held here!!
Bring a promoter for over a decade in this city , our crews has loyalty from alot of old party kids ! Best believe there will be people coming out of the wood works for this one! Lat year we hit 1000 people in the doors! IT WILL REPEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
