Wrong city buddy. There is no underground.... On the other hand, there is no above ground parties eaither. Just dance night at clubs.

ooooooo i don't believe we can just flush NYC down the global toilet just yet....!!
it's true that the city is in a weird state of vanilla/mainstream right now - but, speaking on behalf of 6362MetaForce, I can say we are dedicated to re-invigorating underground culture of the island nation of NYC...!! We agree that "underground" has become a tag-line for mainstream club events... but the "underground" is much more than one night of dancing or music... "UNDERGROUND" is a world of creativity, where boundaries do not limit us - and is made up of the people who are unafraid to speak their minds and voice their opinions - esp those who speak out for positive change... Words don't really capture the feel of the underground, but maybe images and sounds do - so maybe have a look at our myspace page to get an idea of what we mean.. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].... or if you want to feel the underground vibe and meet the creative consciousness of NYC, we have a very special loft party coming on 1/20!!! bOm BHOLENATH ![]() |

This X-raver kid is such a punk. He has no clue about underground. You really think tunnel and hammerstein parties were underground. You are out of your mind. Hammerstein parties had advertisements on k-rock, and tunnel was an internationally reknowned club. Roseland same thing, have you ever seen an underground party advertised in the Village Voice. I didnt think so. Stop hanging on to the past it is gone and may never return. This is true of most scenes. Jam bands, punk, rave, etc. Times and kids change. Get this through your head. Maybe if all of you kids that had the rave scene now started coming out again there would be more money to throw bigger parties, and find new venues to get back at the underground

I said that hammerstein was underground? I said those were huge bashes not underground parties. You must not be able to follow a few sentences. There is no underground or above ground. No arguing we all know it. You teeny boppers keep pretending these are parties but I beg you to ask your older brothers about what a party is.

First off X-raver I am not a teeny bopper and have been going out for almost ten years. You wanna talk shit talk shit. And my older brother is in his thirties and was a deadhead he knows nothing of the rave scene. My original raving crew for the most part started going out in 93 so you wanna talk about underground we can talk. Parties also started going to shit and stopped happening as more kids were getting the shit kicked out of them, robbed and in many cases stabbed and almost killed. That is a huge part of the death of the rave scene. As for the true underground, you obviously don't go out anymore because there are still OUTLAWS from time to time, at construction sights, abandoned warehouse and the like. Try going to the old spots like the GWB and you will be found out for sure because of how tight security is. But you wouldn't know because instead of going out looking for the underground you sit home or whatever it is you do. You act like you know but it seems more and more like you have no clue. Try getting out once in a while instead of posting all of these messages.

Also just because there is a venue that is not up to your caliber does not mean that it is not a party. As with Roseland, many of the newer venues are not dance clubs but rather music venues. Get it straight. We are trying and you are not. So stop talking shit get out and try to make a change. Sitting behind your computer does no one any good and quite frankly it seems like most people on here do not want to hear you and don't particularly like you.

I am no grinch. I will be the first to say when there is a good NYC rave. I do not want this bullshit to continue. One of the reasons I post this stuff is because it amazes me how people can argue with me that the NYC scene is still alive. You can not say or think that at this time. Future I do not know. I wish I neve had to start these threads but my friends and I have complained enough to each other. Now I know where the problem comes from.
