![]() DIRECT DRIVE Presents Saturday, April 28th: Room 1: Direct Drive! SABURUKO ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ] | [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) ![]() One duo that is slowly but surely making their mark on the DnB scene worldwide is known as "Saburuko". Representing Brooklyn, NY, by way of the UK, Russell Knight and Edward Parker are currently signed exclusively to the Horizons Music Group. Having spent their formative years back in their respective homes of Scotland and Wales they take over 2 decades of DJ and production experience to critical acclaim the world over. To date they continue to go from strength to strength receiving multiple airplays on both the major radio stations and a host of internet shows. So far support has come from A-Listers such as Fabio & Grooverider, Doc Scott, DJ Lee, Marcus Intalex, LTJ Bukem, Nookie, DJ Flight, Digital, Amit, D- Bridge, Marky, Artificial Intelligence, Influx UK, Bryan Gee, JJ Frost and Outrage so it's no wonder these guys are being tipped for huge things in 2007 and beyond. With a rich and diverse musical background that is clearly evident in their productions it is claimed the ear they have for melody, mood and atmosphere is not seen in one set group. Evidence of this can be heard in their lead off release on Horizons, the Boro Park EP, featuring 4 tracks ranging in styles it is a perfect primer to the sound that is Saburuko: multi-faceted, deep, emotional and real. Hot on the back of their hugely acclaimed first release are promoters requesting their talents in Europe and across the USA culminating in numerous DJ performances at the 2007 Miami Winter Music Conference. On the production tip, Saburuko have also been remixing and collaborating with such names as Insight, Bachelors of Science, Sabre, Hobzee, Soulmatic, Stunna and Amaning to name but a few. This will see releases on Horizons, Crisis and Progress Ltd. 2007 will also see the Horizons "Exclusive" artists release tracks on Future Thinkin and Integral. DJ SEOUL ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) A major force in the Stateside Drum and Bass scene, New York City-based DJ Seoul made his debut behind the decks back in 1993. After several years of DJing and party promotions at underground scene nationwide, sensing the need for a weekend Drum and Bass night, Seoul began a weekly Saturday night event called Direct Drive in 1998. Direct Drive has received international acclaim as the party which consistently hosts the finest in US and UK talent and Seoul is now widely recognized as one of the top Drum and Bass promoters and DJs on the East Coast. Expanding on the success of the Direct Drive party, Seoul formed an event production and promotion company with the same name. Currently, Seoul is focusing his energy on producing tracks in his recording studio as well as overseeing the launch of a record label.
