I say screw the crews. Book talent that can play a room and keep them there on a consistent basis. The reason that Space/Motion was so great was because they had a core set of residents who were the best in "the scene" at that time.

This is basically how profitable clubs operate, while renting out the space to other crews on different days.

If Space has multiple rooms, you could have the club book the main room and the side room be booked by a crew, that way people have a chance to see the best of Philly and some of the up-and-coming DJs in the scene in the side room.

I think it would be best for all bookings to be handled in-house to avoid dealing with lazy promoters.

i am very interested in spinnin at the new Space......i used to go there all the time from the first day it was open in 98 til it closed well til it went to Motion.....it was my home as a raver and i am friends with Jeff Heart who spun there and John Shah who also used to spin there...but i have been behind the decks since 1999 and stopped for a few yrs due to personal reasons but now i am back and been practicing for 3yrs again and i am ready to go...its been awhile since i have spun at a party but its like riding a bike,once i got back on the decks i just got better and better and its time. if u can hook me up with ANY PARTIES to spin at in the meantime let me know...i am DJ KORPRIT...Mike Kalinoski [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] please get ahold of me...i need this and a promoter to here my trance and i am good and i am not boosting myself...i just need that one chance...thanks MIKE
