What going on, I want to see the response if I was able to work it out to bring back a replica of Space. No it can not be the same space, However Lighting, Parties and Events would be just like old space nightclub. I have been working with some promoters and investors to see if this is possible. However we want to see what the Rave Kids would want. If you want it back then shout out and I will keep you update. Also any DJ's Interested let me know.

I've only heard sweet sweet things about this..not only that, but you have to figure only a tiny tiny fraction of Philly ravers (anfd the surrounding areas) read and or post on this site... Most just show up. I would love to go, not to mention i'm sure a lot of other non-posting ravers would!! I say def. go for it!!!

Yeah for serious my friend and I are a DJ duo who would absolutely love to spin at your parties. We mainly compose/produce/spin House, but we could easily spin DnB, Trance or Techno.
E-mail at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] if you'd like to discuss further, we have mixes and demo tracks. |

This is actually a huge idea. But the original Space wouldn't last long, as it was really shady toward the end (before Motion).
If Space was going to happen again, it would need to be legit and generally need to appeal to not just the raver community, but the young, artist/alternative crowd college scene in the area as a whole. Thats what the first Space did, which ended up raising a generation or two of party kids. Space was innovative because of what it brought to Philly. You can't re-create that time, but you can build off it. The scene now thrives underground, and a new Space would have to bridge that gap or face extinction like God's. Good luck! -lk- |

im not from philly and have only been showing up for parties for the last few months. so i dont even know what the deal with Space is... but if you can find a banging venue and bring in some great talent for a monthly or bi-monthly event, then do it dude! but it must be fully legal. if you cant get a liquor license, then dont serve booze there, but do allow people to byob.
the question if people will come or not kinda depends on you. if you set up a great opening night, then people will be talking about it! get people to hand out fliers at all and any events in the area or surrounding areas well before your opening night. you already have the support of the rave community, no raver is going to say, "fuck no, i dont want another awesome venue in philly!" really alot of it depends on you and the crew you have helping you. if you want it to be big, then put your heart into it. you already have the ravers behind you, make it happen man. ![]() |
