New York 's latest rising techno star, Elon, has taken the technorati by storm with a slew of high profile releases in 2007. This Israeli born-West Villager is not some studio-monkey-come-lately—the experienced DJ, sound engineer, guitar and bass player brings a canny sense of musicianship and technical perfectionism to the table. He tickles the borders between bleepy house, techno, and tech-house, or as he calls it, "Post-Minimal", splaying the wax wide open with floating hooks, edgy bleeps and irresistibly malleable rhythms.

In 2007, Elon made his production debut on Jesse Rose's hot imprint, Made to Play with "Movin' In". It was also included on Rose's "Body Language Vol. 3" mix compilation for one of Berlin's premier labels, Get Physical. Since then, Elon has diligently put together a non-stop release schedule for this year, with electro-bangers "Tamingo" on Infant Records, "Radio Engine EP" on Clink, and Jennie's Keys EP on Auralism.

With his production, Elon's method is to keep his music dark but dance-floor ready. His attention to detail and creative musical ideas achieve an undeniably soul-grabbing sound, it is very emotional and completely danceable. Whether he is playing live or DJing, Elon is comfortable taking the stage at any time, ranging from peak hours to crazy underground morning slots.
