like you said he WAS decent. some people hear a name they reconize and thats really what promoters are paid for, to bring people to an event. so if thsts who people kno, thats whose being booked. if he sucks, mabye people should attempt to listen to something new and give some people the reconition they deserve, that might fix the problem?

ill tell u whats up NE promoters like to pack their line ups with dj because they belive in quantity over quality, fuck that, id rather hear a really good DJ for 3+ hours than a bunch of locals for an hour each, you can not do shit in one hour, its sucks but thats how things go down now.

i wouldn't say there's a lot of shit locals on there, but i get the point you're trying to make. For the record, all the philly names i recognize are definitely good DJs. i can't comment on the others as i have never heard of them at all.

I do a 4 hour party every month (The 611 Dance Party) and everyone gets an hour. I try to at least make it so there's a musical flow so you're not starting flat when you get on so you at least have a groove that you can ride.

The rest are Local NORTHEAST PA, right outside philadelphia, These dj's need to be heard, they hold it down living just outside the city limits.

um... Northeastern PA is over 100 miles away from Philadelphia. that's not even close to being right outside of philadelphia.

holding it down outside of city limits doesn't really only means that if you want gigs you either have to make them yourself (i.e. reading, Pa) or go to a major city and get them.
