![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Spirits of Change proudly presents Let’s Get Stompy ! Saturday July 12, 2008 Pittsburgh, PA Scott Brown – UK (Evolution Records, Tiny Management) Scott Brown is Scottish Hardcore. This man has been knocking out quality releases for over 15 years. He is the owner and writer of all releases on Evolution Records. Since 1994, Evolution Records has been producing top quality hardcore, making it the longest running, and most successful UK hardcore label. Best known for anthems such as 'Boomstick' Fuck Your Style' 'Sonic Boomstick' 'Do Not Attempt' and many more…Scott Brown is a legend! Mista Demo – Seattle - (HUMAN, BARCODE, EVOL INTENT) Seattle’s Demo could be called an overnight success, but only if that night lasted eleven years. A founding member of the 360BPM crew, Demo promoted one of the longest-running DnB weeklies and had a huge hand in the inception and growth of Seattle’s Drum and Bass scene. Years of warming up the decks for some of the biggest acts in Drum and Bass and countless hours in the studio proved fruitful when Barcode’s 2005 releases of "Us Against the World" and "Gorilla Taktiks" with Infiltrata catapulted Demo to new heights. His latest release, Human Imprint’s “Ladies Night” with production partner Cease, has been called “one of the absolute sickest Human releases to date” by label owner Dieselboy and has received overwhelming support by Drum and Bass’ heaviest hitters. Rukkus – Pittsburgh - (Spirits of Change, K12 Studios, SunrizeSounds, Goodfellaz) From the East Coast to the West, Rukkus holds it down! Hooty vs DJ BMV - Youngstown - (Fever, B.A.D.A.S.S.) The most dirty warped n' bangin speed garage ever to grace your ears! Rezon8 - Pittsburgh - (Focused Motives) Get ready to dance your ass off! DJ Leash - Cleveland - (Spirits of change, GoodvibesEnt Electronic Enlightenment) Gabber mixed with hardcore make for an unforgettable set by this excellent hardcore dj! tomorrow! directions up on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and 412-592-0101
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce this. Scott Brown informed us yesterday at 6:30 pm that he would not be catching his flight today due to severe fatigue. I spent all of last night on the phone, exchanging emails, talking to booking agents and other promoters trying to find a major UK hardcore headliner. Due to the short time frame it simply wasn’t feasible. While we know no one can replace him, we feel that How Hard & Candy Kid will put on a very special set of their own. They will be spinning from 1-3:30 am. Due to our promoted headliner not showing, we will be taking 5 dollars off of the door price. Scott Brown will be making a public apology for not coming to Pittsburgh on myspace, on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] & the hulla board. Even though him not showing might discourage some patrons from attending, we feel morally bound to inform everyone. The party will still go on, it will still be incredible & everyone will still rock out. See you tonight! Rose Last edited by spiritsofchange; 12.7.2008 at 10:51 am.. Reason: automerged doublepost |
