Moving to md... need to locate the PLUR

ok i'm moving to maryland from jersey in late oct..... although i'm sure i'll be checking in at parties around home for halloween. I want to locate parties to help mi break in a brand new state. I was hoping to find one say early nov. to use kind of as a "homewarming party" (Like being able to look at my friends and say " hey guys.. thank you for the painting and the moving boxes and unpacking them. why don't I take you to a rave?" yeah cuz that would be sweet. It would also be groovy to meet new peoples. I'm going to be in the haggerstown/fredrick area, although from what i've seen around there so far it seems to be populated by redneck hicks and not really the rave types (no offense ment if you live there. I havn't actully done much exploring) .... Therefore I will assume I need to be looking in the Baltimore area. If anyone can help mi out it would be much appriciated! tanx!

dude, plur/the scene used to big when i was into it hardcore like three or four years ago. i got out for health reasons, and now i'm having trouble finding anything again. for clubs i would suggest sonar in baltimore on saturday nights, or posted shows. sometimes nationis is allright, that's in dc, ususally on friday night. ummm, if i hear anything i'll definately let you know. th 50 started cracking down real heavy in my area so things got quite. from what i am seeing and hearing, things might start picking up. if not i am going to make it pick up. umm anyways, work and the such... send me an IM if you need more info and what not. peace....

Im from pasadena MD so Baltimore is like my backyard. The scene was better years ago but its still thrives... Although, I too left the scene for a small time and am still having a little trouble getting back where I left off. The people and places are constantly changing around here. Sonar is a really small club but if you go on the right night you could have a good time. The warehouse parties around this way are better than the clubs usually... at least from my own experiences. So if you get an invite take it up. Ive found a few safe places to relax, party and listen to the dj's that come through town spin that I could return to on almost any day of the week. So dont be shy. Just find the right people and you should be cozy in the Baltimore/DC scene in no time. There are plenty of welcoming ravers here for you and if you are planning to stay in MD im sure youll have fun at starscape next summer. Keep in mind babydoll that Baltimore City has the highest crime, homicide and aids rates in the US so be careful, be safe and be wise.
