STARSCAPE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The legendary Starscape Festival returns for its 10th year, to bring you a day and night of music and entertainment under the stars, culminating in the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay.

This year's event has five areas of music.

The Main Stage features live bands, a crushing sound system, and top-notch visual production.

The Buzz Area will be under a 10,000 sq ft tent, focuses on electronic dance music and features an audiovisual assault on the senses.

The Steez Promo Drum n Bass area takes place under a 6,000 sq ft tent, and features the worlds best drum n bass talent and a bass heavy sound system sure to make your insides shake.

There will be two beach stages this year. One stage will focus on live music and feature national, regional, and local jamtronica and reggae bands.

The other stage will be hosted by Sonic Soul, Essential Breaks, and The Remix Renegades and will feature a wide array of dance music from a number of regional and local artists.

The festival will also feature a 40 ft live graffiti wall, a full art gallery featuring local and regional artists, and vendors from around the mid-Atlantic region.

yes i cant wait! but dude why has starscape never heard of DJ CAFFEINE! i really want to see him live but cant find any events. you guys should check him out really hes a fuckin hardstyle beast!

I am not on the payroll, only a promoter so I can't answer for the ones who handle the bookings. I have been promoting for this event since '01.
I personally have not heard of him and I used to spin Hard House (HardStyle-UKHH) for several years. I will say that there have been only a few times where HH was at Starscape and that was Miss Lisa in '02 (Which IMO she isn't a REAL HH Dj at all but she did play a few dope tracks).

I believe Trance will be represented by BT (though I think he will be all over the place with genres and not partial to just Trance)

SS usually does have a big Trance DJ, I guess not this year. :/

Am I the only one that isn't too impressed with this party? Lineup is decent and usually kind of is. I went several years ago and didn't enjoy paying $45 for an all outdoor party. THE worst was only porto-pottys and no running water?? How you gonna wash your hands after you piss in a nasty porto-potty? How you gonna go to the bathroom in a dark porto-potty? Who likes getting bit to death by bugs? Urmm not me..

I am sorry you feel that way. Starscape and the venue it's held at is a tradition that has patrons have grown to love for it's location, atmosphere, vibe, lineup & production. There is lighting near the portopottys, not saying its bright, but at least light enough so you can handle your business. There is no running water either so if you need to wash your hands...use part of a bottle of water? I dont recall ever being ate up by bugs either so I dunno about that.

With that being said...it IS an ALL OUTDOOR party and with such type events you have to expect to "rough it" a lil. Sounds like you need something a lil more intimate like a club party that can suit your needs.

(FYI, I am not part of the SS payroll. This is all coming from a promoter/patron that has enjoyed the past 9 years at the best outdoor party on the east coast)
