Counterstrike has played an instrumental role in putting South Africa on the world drum 'n bass map. Justin Scholtemeyer AKA Animal Chin and Eaton Crous AKA 500 Mills have been active drum 'n bass DJ's on the club/rave circuit since the mid 1990's. Counterstrike has been producing drum 'n bass as a collective since 1998, and have a sound distinctly all their own. Electronic heavy metal only partially describes the energy involved in a Counterstrike tune, and when you hear one you feel a sudden urge to headbang and throw a fist in the air. They have released many recordings on labels including Human, Evol Intent, Moving Shadow, Outbreak, Revolution, Obscene, Trickdisk, Disturbed, Barcode, Core, Cell, Invader, Leet, Allied, Dynamic, and African Dope. Watch out for upcoming releases on Guerilla, Ohm Resistance, Evol Intent, as well as their own label, Algorythm. Come witness the strength of Counterstrike on their first USA tour ever, and be sure to fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy ride.............
