*APRIL 7TH :: STANTON WARRIORS | JUNKIE XL (live!)

JUNKIE XL [radiojxl.com, Amsterdam]
In the words of Junkie XL, "...what I want is for Junkie XL to
become a mark of quality when it comes to a certain sound. I feel
really comfortable saying I make progressive dance music that can
cross over between different genres - and I'm always asking, 'How far
can I go?'"

STANTON WARRIORS [(DOMINIC B) UK]
The Stanton Warriors have succeeded in not only bucking musical definition
but have picked it up by the collar and kicked its ass. With their eclectic
past and drawing on some traditional sounds of underground house, hip hop,
electro and funk, they've mixed up the old and the new and come out with
something bigger than the sum of its parts, namely the Stanton sound!

JOE KOPASEK [Kidz That Groove | Modern Music | Baltimore]

JUNGLE JESSI [Tribalistix | Junglist League | The Bansheez | Icognito | Koncrete Jungle | VA]

WHIGHZEGUY [KindBassInc. | Rapid Ascension | DC]

BLANCO [Donut Records, DC]

SCOTT TROPIK MEMORIAL FUND
$1 of every ticket sold goes to The National Mental Health Association's
Bell of Hope Memorial [NMHA] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

SCOTT TROPIK [2HMF | Teemwurk | Post humous set]

SWITCHSTANCE [The Fuzz | oobliss.com | DC]

DANIELLA DOWNS [Cubik Battle of the DJS 2nd place | OO bliss | techfunk alliance | DC]

SIXTWENTYONE [Switch NYC | Blue Rebellion]

*APRIL 14TH :: INFUSION (live!) | BASSNECTAR

INFUSION (live!) [Thunk | Marine Parade | Melbourne]
"Brilliant live, responsible for a couple of the best tracks of the last twelve
months, and highly rated by Sasha, Zabiela, etc. Infusion are shaping up to be
one of the best new dance acts for a long time. Their devastating blend of live
instruments and dirty 4/4 breaks has brought new vibrancy and inspiration to the
dance music community." - M8 Mag

BASSNECTAR [Amorphous | Organic Music | US]
With Bassnectar having remixed or collaborated with the likes of KRS One, Heavyweight
Dub Champion, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Buckethead, The String Cheese Incident, Saul
Williams, Noam Chomsky, Cheb I Sabbah, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Crash Berlin, Landslide,
and Perry Farrell, as well as having released records on OM Records, Virgin, 6 Degree,
Functional Breaks, Ceiba, Groundwork (Starbucks) and Kool Keith’s Sync Recordings, the
Bassnectar sound has benefited from a wide scope of exposure, and evolved from cutting
edge dance music to where it exists today: a mutant mash-up of multiple styles and genres.
The only way to experience the Bassnectar sound is to live it.

*APRIL 21st :: DJ RAP | ICEY

DJ RAP [Proper Talent | Improper Talent | UK]
Coming fresh from the momentum of the release of her album 'Bulletproof', DJ Rap
returns to Cubik dropping a house AND a dnb set, with a stack of new releases currently
burning dancefloors worldwide - don't miss it!

ICEY [Zone Records | Essential Mix | FFRR Recordings]
Playing 100+ gigs per year, breakbeat icon DJ Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesn’t
keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks for his Indie Labels Zone
and Tree records, constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dancefloor.
Be sure to check out Icey's new cd release, Y4K out now on Distinctive Breaks!

*APRIL 28th :: 2006 BUZZLIFE DANCE CONTEST | GRANDMASTER FLASH | BASSBIN TWINS | DYLAN

GRANDMASTER FLASH [Essential | NY]
During hip-hop’s nearly 30-year history, few names have become as well known to music lovers
across the globe as that of Grandmaster Flash. Not only is he responsible for inventing the
musical genre called Hip Hop but his pioneering use of the turntables make him The First DJ
to play the Turntables as a Musical Instrument thus helping to elevate the status of the DJ
to a masterful, artistic position. He is universally recognized as a visionary artist. He
is also responsible for assembling one of the earliest and greatest rap groups of all time –
The Furious Five – these are some of the hallmarks of a career which has extended from the
Bronx in the early 1970s to all corners of the globe into the 21st century.

BASSBIN TWINS [Belgian Breaks | Skint | Southern Fried Records]
The Bassbin Twins live set is an anything goes mix bringing in broken beats both old and new
school, jacking tech house, electro, and funky drum and bass all put through the Bassbin blender
and mashed in the name of up for it party music.

DYLAN [Freak Recordings | Renegade Hardware | Metalheadz | UK]
The name Dylan needs no introduction when it comes to drum & bass, He has been at the top of the
scene for some time now and this is well deserved! His style ranges from demented darkness to ghetto
funk, always retaining those trademark hard-driving, solid beats. Forthcoming projects include the
launch of his own new label Freak Recordings, releases for Goldie’s Metalheadz, Timeless, and a
continuing onslaught of discothèque destroyers for your listening pleasure.
