The Jungle Brothers are an American hip hop, house, and drum & bass group who pioneered the fusion of jazz and multi-genre electronic music. They began performing in the mid-1980s and released their first album, Straight Out the Jungle, in 1988. With Afrocentric lyrics and innovative beats, the Jungle Brothers were critically acclaimed and soon joined the influential Native Tongues Posse. The duo is comprised of Michael Small (Mike Gee) and Sammy Burwell (DJ Sammy B), as Nathaniel Hall (Afrika Baby Bam) no longer tours with the group.

The Jungle Brothers have influenced such groups as The Digable Planets, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest. More @ MTV.com. The Jungle Brothers will be performing a set featuring multiple genres from hip-hop to house but focused on Drum & Bass.

With all the djs that are out there today, Empress' pure talent and passion shines like a light through the bleak haze of egos & mediocrity.

Something of a prodigy, Empress graduated college at the age of 17. She was the first American to be invited to play at V Recording's prestigious party--- Movement in 1999. Her collaboration with Djs Ufo! & Sage spawned "Hydroxy", which was released on Skunkrock Recordings with a Digital & Spirit Rmx on the flip.
