Trying to throw a rave need some help

ok i have a buddy that is close freinds with dj irene and dj venom and a few other headliners.... i want to put together a rave and if it goes well i will continue to throw them in the boston area... if anyone knows of venues that are for rental that hold at least 1000 people or more in the greater boston area let me know because i would like to try to get the scene back up around the area.... theres alot of people who want to go to raves but there just aren't any or at least any that are good in the area all the time....

Bro, good luck on that one. I'm not bein sarcastic at all. Boston has this thing about givin out entertainment permits for all night parties. Even back in 98 all the raves were either at Metropolis (Maine) BooM (Nashua, Nh) or Asylum (springfield).......i don't even think they're doin it at the Fitchburg Civic center anymore Ehhh.......since i moved out here to the west coast the LA rave scene is always goin on a constant level.

yea i know but if i already looked a few venues... i might have a place in malden... as long as its a "concert" witch will fly because i have headliner djs it should all be gravy... plus i have a lawyer that said he will do all the paperwork... plus the club will be able to host whatever they want... i would like to get shit goin again out here... boston has alota ppl that wanna party esp with all the collages.. but theres never anywhere with good djs... its all hip hop and shit out here

What are you talkin about?? Avalon? Axis? Matrix? Roxy? shit, there are a lot of clubs that play trance n house......yes....they are clubs, but it's not hip hop

One thing you have to keep in mind is that almost everything closes at 2am in Boston. I think Rise is the only exception. Good luck in being able to pull it off and if you do get an event going let me know as I would be interested .

Ahh, I remember Metropolis and boom....Metropolis used to be like 5 blocks from my house which was nice for afterhours But now I'm in SF....

So being from LA, there must be renegades there right? I mean, almost half of the parties in SF are "unpermitted" and most don't get busted. They do in Oaktown...but..I digress....I figure there must be outlaw raves in LA, why not in Boston?
