Umaine. But let me know regardless because if it's between Boston and Maine I'm sure I can show up and/or help.

I would have to say between 92-96 were the golden years of the New England rave scene. From RI all the way up through to Montreal the scene flourished during that period.

Parties like Funrise in Portland Maine with the legendary Dubtribe come to mind. Or DJ Dans first east coast appearence @ Paradise in Mass in 95, that party captured the true vibe of what a party should be about. Great venue, classic sets, and great party people who knew how to handle their shit.

Between 95-97 Meth use at parties increased and slowly replaced the good vibes with shitty ones. The last party I went to was Reclaiming Paradise in 97, the music was dope but I like most of my friends, just weren't digging the overall scene anymore with all the misuse of drugs and just plain ridiculous behavior, and on top of that the scene was becoming mainstream and losing its underground vibe.

I danced my ass off at that party for like hours without stopping. I remember Osheen, Dub Tribe, and Dutch spinning....everything else is a little blurry.

I just moved to Boston from SD. You're right, there are no more raves in SD after the big bust in 01, but the scene is in LA and there's an occasional massive in San Bernardino. The next real good massive should be the Electric Daisy Carnival at the end of June. It also saddens me how much Cali kids are into drugs. But this world is evolving, and so are cultures, including the rave culture. All we can do is hold PLUR deep in our hearts and remember the good ol' times and try to spread that ideal where ever we go, to whom ever we meet. CHEERS TO THE OLD SCHOOL!

Way at the beginning of the original question of this post, you can automatically tell who WASN'T at those names because those names are PLACES, not events!... Yeah, I used to be a jailbait partier at all of those venues. The cages at Metropolis we're reserved for me and my friends, and Big Mike use to let us in comped and dance in the balcony while he span. AHHH... memories. To me, THOSE were the rave glory days, but that's because I was in the midst of it. There will always be "vets" saying "The TRUE scene was in 1992-95...", "...98-2001...", "...2015-2022", and while yes, I do notice that EVERYONE now wears candy, I personally don't care. But to me, all the new kids who wear it without really having a good reason to or even knowing why candy is significant to them, I feel they all look UNoriginal (big pants, fur, sparkles, lots of clangy beads, OOOHHH WOW, all the same shit), but hey they can dress and think what they want. I'm still down to see what's happening today and for a good time.

My first party was Primary Productions' 'Red' in Fitchburg in '94 (and later 'Electric Blue', same location & organizers), and I was at the final Asylum party... and one party in Portland, ME, in the mid-to-late 90's (the name of which escapes me) in a venue that struck me as a defunct mill, beside a river. At the Portland party, I met 'Eno--One' doing the visuals, who in turn introduced me to the members of Prototype 909 - anyone remember the party?
