i could care less what the problem was...theres no excuse for this type of shit..this is what seprates a good promoter for a bad promoter...we waited in the bitch ass cold from 9 - 2 ...and then left...

i wasn't there, so i have no right to talk about the party in specific...

but unless you're throwing an underground party...

you really should have all your permits and such in order, and keep everything about the party up to code. this is LA, even the ravers know how painful throwing a decent party can be. they don't come up with new laws every weekend. sure the party won't be as AWESOME if you keep everything to regulations...

but at least there'll be a party.

and overselling is just plain shady. shady shady shady.

I was waiting for about an 1 hour 1/2 all together before i got in and i was literally 5-10 feet away from the block gate to the final straight line. In my opinion Fresh did their job. Honestly, it took so long because of cutters and people didn't get off the the streets. If you were one of those people stuck at the corner by the block gate seriously how many times did the security and fire marshals had to repeat "we're not going in until everyone is off the streets" and guess what? nobody got off the streets,People kept cutting. Finally at around 9:30-40ish..The cops came and the people on the streets all disappeared. I wished they would've came earlier. 10 mins after they came the line was smooth

overall 8/10

Honestly, I know the organizers had SOME idea of how many people bought tickets... there is no excuse for this. No rave should make someone get there before 9oclock so they can get in.

coming from a promoter view point, the whole point of pre-sales is not really to sell you a cheaper ticket, the whole point behind pre-sales is they can gauge attendance, according to my knowledge you figure your pre-sales number and double it

and then either A) let many-most presales in first then charge at the door
B) venue with enough space to hold that many people

It's probably a lot easier for you to "turn the cheek" since you didn't buy a ticket in advance and then stand in line for 4.5 hours. My friends and I got there at 6:45, stood in line (NOT in the streets) and were going to leave at 10:45 when we finally decided to try cutting and we FINALLY got in! Apparently if you wanted to you had to do it.

Overall, the rave sucked. Keeping everyone out for the first four hours didn't start things out right, and since we didn't get in till nearly 11, we were only there for like half the time we thought we would.

There were definitely cool people, but I wont go to another Fresh event.

I can see it so clear already. Tim will come on, type some huge essay length post of what was going on his world for the night. Appolgize for taking so long to submit a appology because he was too busy entertaining or getting all the djs to where they need to be next. You paid for one specific event, you didn't get that ...you should have every right to refuse a makeup party and demand your payment back. This is proper business, something that is a rare form in this scene.

Either way, it will end like it always does. It's not like this is the first time Fresh has fucked up. I don't see why it be any different now. He'll be forgiven though, maybe even get a hug or two. And then, .....months down the track the cycle will continue.
