The Dark Knight Was Overhyped Horseshit

That movie was fucking torture.

It was like being in a vacuum completely devoid of fun and entertainment. Moments of coolness were sparse. The coolest thing that happened in the first 40 minutes was Batman grabbing the Chink and escaping from the office building by bataranging a wire to a plane and flying away. 40 unfun, boring minutes.

Somebody asked me what it was about...I couldn't answer. There was no story: "Uh, the joker wanted to fuck things up in the city, and Batman tried to stop him. And good guy Harvey Dent became became Two-Face after his girlfriend died" That was about it...all for 2 1/2 hours. The movie was successful at creating a depressing dark mood - but that's about it. The dialogue was awful: "There's always a dark before the dawn." Really? Really?! Who says crap like that? If you said that to me I would laugh in your face.

Christian Bale was completely wooden as an actor. He gave as much as a manakin...and what was with his stupid Batman voice? Somebody give him a Ricola. It was even more retarded than in the last movie.

That Gyllenhaal girl was fucking abysmal. Does she have Down syndrome? She might have been worse than Katie "Cross-eyes" Holmes if that's possible. What the fuck? What an ugly actress.

Heath Ledger's performance was over-rated. Oscar? Really? He was boring. He just did the same thing the whole time: twitch, looking around shiftily, and spastically lick his lips. He was completely 2-dimensional. Jack Nicholson was better. Even Caesar Romero on the Batman tv show was better.

There wasn't much to say about Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, or Morgan Freeman because they weren't given anything to do.

There was about 5 times where I thought the movie would finally be over...but no, it just kept going on. More and more of nihilist boring nothing.

I hated the Hulk movie but at least is was watchable.

P.S. I liked the last Batman alright - besides the stupid ending, Bale's performance, and Katie Holmes.

no one ever said the joker persona in Dark Knight was supposed to match the previous joker persona exactly.

This one fit the themes and setting perfectly.

Remember what Alfred said....some people just want to see the world burn.
