candykid = your plurrtastic, loving side
trance = your mellow part of your persona
house/ hardhouse/ funkyhouse = your groovy, funky side
jungle = your oscar the grouch, grumpy (get the fawk out of my way) side

actually a vast majority of people DO NOT become junglists. Believe it or not. YES most people start out listening to trance.. maybe HHC.. and then often evolve into other genres.. but people find what they like.. and it either stays what it was originally .. or something different. I've been in the scene for over 10 years. Started out listening to mostly techno and house (the more popular styles of music in SD at the time).. moved onto Jungle for a while.. and settled down into trance/progressive/techno. Though I like most "rave" music.. those are my favs. You can't label all ravers the same.. everyone goes through different phases.. Jungle is certainly not where everyone end up..

and btw I was never a candy kid. There was no candy when I started partying. A few years into it.. when a lot of people started wearing it.. I would wear some if someone gave me some.. but that was it. And for a long time, ravers were ravers.. then they became house heads/junglists/candykids/whatever and the divisions began. I liked it better when we believed in Unity over segregation :P

thats what im sayin son. fuck all this high school bullshit of dif 'groups' were all sposed to be one. just fuckin come butt naked and run around for hours losing your mind

and when did wearing butterfly wings only become a massive thing? i remember when all the crazy peoples used to wear wigs and wings, lol and of course visers and huge ass pants that wernt gay unicorn carebear pants

And my favorite thing of all is giving someone their FIRST kandi. That is one of THE best feelings.
And yes making lots of kandi just to fit in and never pass any around is really lame. Peace Love Unity Respect Responsibility. Not just a word

I agree with Elliot. The spirit is what its about. A few of my friends that have been in the scene 10 years+ don't wear their kandi anymore. But they still except them if someone gives them.

I guess, once a kandi kid always a kandi kid, not matter what the outfit.

except this really hot one pop tart made for me. i swear one day i'm just gonna throw her up against a wall and treat her like the lil slut she really is. then again i'll prob melt before any of that happens
