This member is the original thread starter. electro Shufflers? Dancers?

Ive been learning to Melbourne shuffle for the past 6 months now and i was just Wondering if anyone else in SoCal knows or has the want to learn to shuffle so i can have a shuffling partner to meetup with at raves. Cause, yeah its fun to go up in competition with poppers but its not the same. Il teach the basics if u can stay motivated. Just let me know

Heres a video of how the Melbourne Shuffler Looks like when its done right

Wassup man, I shuffle a little bit. More into liquid but I practice both. What parties you going to in the near future? Def down to meet up and share some moves.

BTW; that vid is a horrible example of proper shuffling. Here's how it should look.

First of all I don't know what's up with these shuffler competitions (this isn't DDR ); you learn to dance for the love of dance not to go try to show off in front of people or battle other ravers and try 1up them and make yourself feel better because you're better than them at dancing. Second, some of these peeps are alright but I've seen better shuffling especially when glides and moonwalking was combined in the routine but at that point does it stop being shuffling? Which brings me to the conclusion that one shouldn't be so close minded and focus on one dance style and should explore many different dance styles and create a fusion of their own.

I can dance a bit myself but I don't dance to show off in front of peeps.

i dont really think the OP was saying that competition is the only way to dance.
dancing ranges everywhere from closing your eyes and letting the music carry you...to choreographed steps and moves.

i pretty much try everything within the spectrum....except i havent learned a routine in way too long.

see a good shuffler in person....and you will instantly be jealous of their moves.

sidenote: why do i always forget the name of the crew that ziyah is in?

it's a freaking dance...lol

dance however you please, dance for whatever reason, dance cuz you want to.

everyone has their own reasons why they dance, competing against people doesnt necessarily mean they want do it to boast bout shit, it's fun and you learn a lot from different people...
