i think they busted it cause they were playing DnB. If they were playing house the po-po's would have probably started blazin' and the party would still be bangin'

Yep I got some phone calls as soon as it happened. I know some people out there and post on the Utah forums. Funny how all these people from all over were posting on the forums like man what can I do to help. Funny now how they forgot.

Not all just a lot. I remebered what happened but I never offered help because I didn't really want to get invovled in that. Because there are a lot of things people don't see and I didn't know all the facts. All I knew was the cops busted the party and the promoters said they had everything. How dumb would I look if I was trying to help out these promoters and it turns out they didn't have everything.

A lot of times people just see cops busting raves. Usually there is a reason. Some where the promoters fucked up. Perhaps something is wrong with the venue, or some party kid was irresponsible and OD'. Thats the things most people just see the cops being dicks instead of trying to step back and see the whole picture.

However in this case I think the amount of force used was surely and undoubtably excessive!

I agreed, that from the footage ravers saw, the police used excessive force, but like you...I know that there are things that I don't know about. I wasn't there...the person holding the camera was a raver...what else was going on that they weren't taping...and every state has a list of what permits are required for what event...anyone can check them...you can even see who requested and received which permits...once I saw that...I knew why it was shut down...

I know that a Camera can lie when it doesn't tell the whole story same thing with pictures. You can warp the perception of reality. Though from what I saw with the swat team rolling up with M16's (I remeber some dumbs ass posted that they were AK47's wich look nothing like M16's) that is a bit excessive. They were also taking away cameras and trying to smash them. Cops just don't like it when they are being filmed busting people.

they never do...cops rolled up on 5 dolla make ya holla 2 with M16s...there's a chance that it might just be a standard weapon for breaking up large gatherings...they shut the party down, but didn't harm a soul...I even have pictures of me and a friend with one of the officers, holding his gun...I think it all depends on who you piss off and when...
