I was only a fan of the first Halloween movie. However what Rob is doing with this character is pretty awesome! Giving a legendary character the background that he always lacked!

It certainly cant be worse than any of the halloweens after the 3rd. I much enjoyed Devil's Rejects, so I'll most likely catch this in the theater.

how the hell can you people sit thru 2 hours of this mindless garbage lol. im all for violence and morbid gore but this isnt even good. ive only seen a few movies that did good gore/mutilation scenes and they wernt even slasher films. like....fuckin Hostel....advertised as the most graphic movie ever, and everytime they go to cut/mame/kill someone it cuts away or totally fails to deliver. the only good slasher ever made was Scream 1. that movie was fuckin revolutionary when it came out.
fuck the gore/slasher genre. its all bout straight horror like gremlins, aliens, dawn of the dead(the remake),silent hill , the shining. lol to each their own though i guess huh =P |

Are you serious Tofu? You're right, to each their own, but you can't seriously think Scream "revolutionized" anything. All Wes Craven did was rip off the slasher flicks that had all been done already, and just kind of poked fun at them at the same time. The first one was entertaining, but that was about it. Besides it spawned a bunch of other shit movies like Valentine, Urban Legends, etc.
Hostel 1 was disappointing to me too, but it's not really a slasher movie, much like Saw isn't really a slasher movie. True, most mainstream horror flicks nowadays are crap, like jeepers creepers... But the Halloween is old school, and one of the best of it's genre. Zombie has proven himself as a writer/director with House of 1000 Corpses and especially Devil's Rejects. The two combined - I think will pretty damn good. -Joker |

gore is best.
i'm a huge fan of absurd gore. movies by peter jackson (dead alive - particularly the lawn mower scene, bad taste), lucio fulci and italian zombie flicks as a whole really, sam raimi (evil dead) and on and on etc. |

Haha I agree - I LOVE Peter Jackson and Sam Raimi - hah and yeah the lawnmower scene (or damn near any scene) in Dead Alive is filled with mad gore and insanity.
And don't forget the Kung-Fu fighting priest! -Joker |
