caused not by the toxicity of the drugs per se, but by the

attributed to the users' bodies overheating (hyperthermia),
dehydrating or losing blood sodium (hyponatraemia). These

Honestly reading through this a lot of the information is pretty much on point and not really biased.

Honestly it seems like a lot of parties get shut down not neccesarily because of them being "raves", but for actual violations of the law, such as lack of permits, underage kids drinking in public, or people carrying weapons.

I attended a small, underground party in San Diego last august that was held in a small warehouse located in a private business park. The party started at 7, and around 9pm, the police came to respond to a supposed complaint. The guys throwing the party calmly explained to the officer that the location was private and that the event was private. The police officer spoke to the person that actually operated the warehouse and got the OK from them.

Once all the logisticals were handled, the cops wrote a statement that they had inspected the party, and that the event was legal. No bickering between ravers and police, no drug searches, nothing. After they finished writing the statement, I witnessed one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen a cop do (and I don't say this to make fun of the guy): The cop gets in his car, and gets on his PA:

"Hey you guys have some pretty sweet disco lights!"

*cop then turns on his red/blue flashers*

"But you know who's got the best disco lights!!!"

Then the cop drove off, and the party went ALL night.

Best cop moment I've ever had, and *gasp* it was at a rave

Thats fucking hilarious! Ive met sooo many cops that are cool as hell, walking around tlaking and joking with ravers at like Monster Massive and other events. Its mostly security guards with a lack of experience and education that give ravers shit. Theyre too dumb and probably have a record so they can't be a real cop. Some of them even confiscate beans and re-sell them..cough cough Hudson security lol. We know they have a homeboy that re-sells for them.

holy shit. this would've made my year. it goes to show its definitely a give & take between promoters, ravers, and cops. give respect, and you get it. plu R.R.

both people did a great job in this situation.
and what the cop did in the end....just made it even better. so slick.

being a raver made me appreciate lights. i think the new cop lights with the LEDs are so fucking cool.

yeah i didnt mind this guy until he posted this.

I'm third generation American and still the teeny bit of Ukrainian & Russian blood in me makes me feel not entirely "white" "Caucasian" "or pure "American"

the more people that show up on RL like this....the more likely ill be turning into Joker soon.
