complete BS how big corporations try to take advantage on the "little people" just trying to find a way to make enough to put a roof over their head....

Apparently, since my lights are shaped like photons, even though I don't call them photons, I'm infringing on their copyright.

They want compensation from me (I have NO money -- I'm going into surgery in two weeks and I have $100 dollars to my name) -- I'm going to get sued and I'm going to fucking starve

They want my products and my store which is HOW I FUCKING EAT AND PAY RENT.

All because they're greedy and want to sell lights at $15 a pop.

Fuck this.

Every other website is doing this too. LiquidEMOtions, orbitlightshow.. they sell THE SAME SHIT so why am I the one in trouble?

This website has been my source of income because of my medical problems. And now they're taking it away.

I don't suppose any of you are lawyers who could help me?

Or anybody, at all?

I'm fucking so pathetically terrified right now that I'm having a full blown panic attack. I can't stop crying. I'm going into surgery in two weeks, I have no money, and now my business is being SHUT DOWN BY SOME GIANT GREEDY COOPERATION.

I don't know what to do.

I never EVER say these are photons. EVER. I never EVER mention that they're photons. I even correct people when they say photon. So WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I'm not going to respond to the email. I'm just going to ignore it, and hope they're bluffing.

Any lawyers here at all? Anybody who knows one who could help me?

The website is up now and should be for a few days... I'm still doing orders... and I'm still going to keep going until I talk to somebody who knows what to do more than me.

Ill also compensate all people who want leds with glowsticks in return for your word not to buy photon.

uhh.. doesnt this site (i assume like the other ones) take lights that other people made and just modify them?
well turning around and selling it.. you are infringing on the copyright. you are buying the light from someone who had to pay for the rights of the lights and to put them together and everything.. and you are turning around and jewing them to make money for yourself. that's pretty much the defination of a copyright law. learn the law before you make something your only source of income.

why does everyone always use "omg!1!11 im broke!11! medical bills!1!11" as an excuse?

they sell it under the same name and as a used car.

the car companies are okay with it, obviously whoever makes these lights isn't.

I see Jellybean's point though. The manufacturer didnt seem to get recognition or credit for the product, which could be infringement

no car companies dont. but car companies also dont have a copyright on the car. they just copyright the name of it. in order for you to not break copyright laws you have to prove that you changed the product in a distinguishable way so that it cannot be mistaken for the original anymore. if you just modified the inside it would break copyright because it is not distinguishable from the photon light.

taking an item and modifying it by at least 15% nulls the patent and the item is no longer supported by copywrite, you an modify anything and sell it as your own as long as you don't resell it under the same name as the item was originally purchased

and people always use I'm broke and medical bills as an excuse because we dont make enough money and medical bills are fuckin ridiculously high, I'm sorry if you can afford them, but i know most of us can't...
