actually, i did the boiling and steaming for one hour room. I know you have more chance of contamination, but i really did not wanna buy or have the time to get a pressure cooker. hence the tinfoil also being black because of the hot water.

People have had 100% efficiency when using the boiling method....and people have 100% failure...it's pretty much just chance. Thats why i have so many jars.
