ParaPara Paradise
![]() [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Have any of you ever been involved with this game? I just remembered being in junior high, looking up parapara videos online, memorizing the dances, and going to arcades on weekends with friends and playing on the machines: ![]() Laugh all you want, but it was pretty fucking fun. There are five sensors in front of you and senses your arms, elbows, and legs. Its own unique style of dance. Very rigid and straight, not at all fluid. You look like a complete idiot! But it still fun!! Here's an example of the instructional videos you find online to teach you the dance. Look at the arms hehehe! [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] videogames ftw. ![]() |

All I remember about this game is from my trip to Japan when there were crowding around it...
I'm pretty sure the game is influenced by the Ganguro (Tanned as fuck Japanese girls wearing very loud, ridiculous colors/clothing) ParaPara = Ganguros' style of dancing... Behold... ![]() |

Hehehe that is a very disturbing picture! The game is actually based off an actual style of dance developed in the 70's for more of a disco theme setting. Several j-pop singers started incorporating the dance into their shows and the dance took off. It's also been marketed as a weight-loss aerobics videos! Now there are parapara troupes that tour. One of the parapara troupes that sing and perform these dances is the hinoi team, just the cutest little things... [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] I'm going to randomly dance a parapara dance at a rave I think. It'd be random DONT HATE! |

FUCK YEAH FOR PARAPARA!!! I like techpara and trapara! The game routines are kinda boring. Techpara is something more do-able at a rave.

awww, I remember this game!
I use to play a lot when I was like 16...but that was like 6 years ago. The local nicke ardcade had it and you were able to play for a low fee of 15 cents. (awesome, I know). I was hooked and this game actually taught me how to liquid dance. gosh...I bet I suck now, hahaha. I wanna give it another go though. Thanks for posting this thread btw, I almost forgot about awesomeness that is parapara. |

I moved here from no.cal not that long ago. Where are good fob arcades? The asian culture isn't as dominant in so cal, I noticed. I've been to LifePlaza, off the 60 fwy in Rowland Heights. That place is like my equivalent of Disneyland, holy shit. Oriental cuisine, pancakes, dim sum, picture booths, coolest nicknack stores. But I don't want any dirty ravers messing it up!! |
