I was one of the first to post here after getting back from Fresh and yes, I still had a very bitter taste in my mouth. I dragged a bunch of my friends down with me from Santa Barbara to their first rave and who knows if after this I will be able to get them down again, that is what has gotten to me the most. I have read everything that has been posted here, the rants, the excuses, the explainations.
I understand things are sometimes things out of the promoters/organizers control, it happens, but when you organize an event you take on the responsibility of the unknown, you accept that you may have to deal with unexpected situations and a good crew is able to deal with those things and be able to implement contingency plans. Life isn't perfect, if you are not able to cope with things going wrong you shouldn't be working on this scale. What's done is done. You can't change what happened, you can't give us the night we promised but you can restore some good feeling. I don't want to have to do a chargeback (and I would have no problems in getting one approved, after all, i bought presales on the basis of the flyers and website info and with all the changes it simply ended up being false advertising) but you are sitting on our money without giving us what we were promised, surely you must feel bad enough for that not just to say "sorry, this that and the other happened, not our fault, out of our control". WE DON'T CARE WHO'S FAULT IT WAS, WE JUST WANT A GOOD TIME, IF YOU CAN'T GIVE IT TO US, GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK AND WE WILL GO SOME OTHER CREWS PARTY. NO MORE EXCUSES, JUST MAKE AMENDS |

Now how do you suggest that Fresh "make amends"? DId they not try everything within their scope to aliviate any and every problem that confronted them? Did you not enjoy yourself for even a single moment? I doubt you had such a horrible time with such good friends around. I've found that even in my worse possible moments those around have been able to change my perspective on things. But pay no attn to me i'm just some n00b clouded in a purple haze with a mask over my eyes stuck in the allegory of the cave. |

a lot of people are defending fresh, man, i agree that party was fucked up and super sketchy, you'd have to be dumb to say that the party Saturday night was fun or ANYTHING close to what fresh should have brought! hahahahaha about getting your money back, you're over it. just don't party with the fresh crew anymore, i know i'm not along with a huge number of other people. |

It doesn't matter if you do all within your power to keep things on track, if you don't succeed you haven't done your job. It would be like me saying I am going to get a headline DJ to play at my house, charging people entry, making a few phone calls to see if I could get said DJ and when everyone arrives telling them "Sorry, I did everything I could, it just wasn't good enough but I will keep your money". I know it is a completly different scale but the point is, if you don't live up to what you have promised, you need to do something to make up for.
I am not saying I didn't have a good time at any point because for the 2 hours I was there when there was music it was great. My friends who aren't seasoned ravers and only begining to get into the dance scene weren't quite as happy as they barely had time to get into it. I know I may not speak for everyone, but I am pretty sure everyone person wishes the event had gone off differently OR wishes they had paid less for their ticket OR wishes they got more for their money OR wants some sort of compensation. I would be surprised if any one person was completely satisfied with night as a whole and that is no way to run a business, an event or anything. |

If you have been in the rave scene long, I have been over 10 years then you see parties get rolled. It isnt the promoters fault and it is a big risk for them to even throw a party. The kids accept this risk when they pay a door fee that it may get shut down. Fresh managed to get rolled and after some time turn back on the music!
Tim did good and deserves another chance with his track record of good parties. Quote:

you're 100% right and people that say they did are either promoters or idiots. |

No one is happy or satisfied when a party gets rolled, but that is part of the game in our scene
