if you liked Electric Daisy Carnival last year, you will probably like it last year too. I think those that have been raving for years and 'miss the good ole days' are the ones most disappointed. So, if you liked it last year, i don't see how much will have changed...

Insomniac and Goventures are just brand names now and both crews feel they dont have to try as hard anymore to put on shows like they once did. going from 6 stage shows ending in fireworks displays with epic dj lineups that would vary from show to show, to the 3 stage generic cookie cutter lineup mild production stuff theyre doing now then blaming the economy for it is just silly. plus theyre trying to shed their 'rave' skin and become just a clubber massive now, meaning no more running anywhere other then the same place and bringing the same show every single time.

then theres the mini massive market which is only held by 3 crews, 2 of which are too scared to use real venues, even when their venue is exploding at the seems with people oding from heatstroke due to overcrowding left and right.

and finally the smaller guys. theres a few small crews that still scout out new venues on their own and strive to do something original. and the ones that dont may get away with jocking other peoples venues and running low budget shitty dj lineups for awhile, but eventually fall on their asses and dissapear such as neosapians and 1w1d.

the best thing to do is find out from the longer term people which crew brings a good production, and which crew is going to provide you with a solid night of fun and dancing without security that wants to hurt you or bland bad music thats gonna bore you if your not fucked up out of your mind

Very well put Mr. Tofu. Although, I do have to admit, when others team up with Insomniac (like Giant for Nocturnal) they pull out some stops and get some really good DJ's.

It does suck that they are almost not trying any more with the line ups though. You know that Electric Daisy Carnival is going to be something like:

Well for me Electric Daisy Carnival is guaranteed to be dope because you CANNOT go wrong with an outdoor massive at the coliseum. It's just too dope a venue.

Now the music might be only good, or mediocre, instead of GREAT. But I will still have a good time nonetheless.

i think IM is booked on that day somewhere else...if IM happens to be there, they really better do a god damn dj set because the live sets are the same each time

for 50 dollars...you can go and hear the DJs you might have missed last time. i doubt you got to hear every single one you loved.

Massives out here, ALSO SAN FRAN always have the same ol line up every year it seems. I have seen ALL those DJ's. There needs to be a more diverse line up than the usual. The only party i've seen so far that tried was Noc 07.............although Noc 06 DnB line up was fucking Stellar.

Out in the East coast Whistle is the big party and every year they had a different line up, with the exception of a few who completely rocked the crowd.

Look at MM 06 & MM 07...............SAME FUCKING LINE UP with the exception of IM (who plays at pretty much all massives out here) and Digitalizm.......whoopie.

Once you've been partying out here for more than a year and get your feet wet in the rave scene you'll know what i'm talking about.

i guess its also cause i primarily go to dance...i dont mind hearing the same beats as long as i can move to them.
