I'm not saying you were shady (or "shaddy", whatever that means) or that you decieved people intentionally, but it is poor form to fail to announce that a major draw to your show won't be performing. Have other production companies done it? Yes, and it's shitty when they do it to. Don't point to the failings of other production companies to justify the failings of yours. Apologize and do better next time.
I've been to two Fresh productions - Winterfresh and Fresh Squeezed - and both of them have had major problems. I'm not suggesting that either of them were entirely within your control, but it's how you handle those things that come up unexpectedly that really test your mettle. Frankly, I feel like Fresh failed on both accounts.

dude, its only 5oclock on sunday lol. everyone is still asleep from working for 3 days straight to build this show. whos going to issue an apology right now. a statement will be made this week about it.. i myself didnt even find out till 20 mins before he was supposed to go on, and at first i was like WTF?!? then i saw xnoize standing there and was equally confused as excited because xnoize is fucking sick and i was actually really excited to get to see a psy dj i havnt seen live yet. believe me, noone was happy about astrix not making it (accept xnoize hahaha).
the point was that you were saying how great insomniac is and that they would NEEEVER do anything like that because theyre so legit, when they fucked 10000s of ticket holders out of a major artist without so much as a warning just because 'they are insomniac' and have other big names on there that you should be greatful to see
to be honost, gopher said it right. even if an announcement had been made saturday, people probably still wouldve gone just because it was a sick event with 5 stages of music to keep yourself entertained to. and anyways, who wouldve really seen it? maybe a handful of people might have seen it, and out of them most prob already wouldve had their presales and still gone anyways. also, alot of people dont use the internet often and dont even have myspaces. all in all, with the little notice we had, it wouldnt of made a difference accept to say that yea we said something. but we really only have a few people in our crew and theres no way we could spare losing someone during production just to have them sit at a computer doing bulletins on myspace in the hopes of someone seing it.
