Need advice on looking for a job!

So i've been jobless now for about a month and its getting really frustrating looking for one. I dont want to work somewhere like Target or Best Buy and it just seems like theres nowhere to go (which sounds stupid because theres a ton of places to go). Also when I try looking online they all look like bs jobs. Can anybody give me some advice, please!

Check the papers, ask your friends, check craigslist. Also just go around and fill out applications to every damn place you can think of. You also have to make sure YOU follow up, don't fill out an application and expect them to call you back. Be persistent and make sure they know how interested you are in the job

i usually go arounds town and shit looking for signs posted for hiring and i ask for the employment manager and fill out an applacation and present a resume but it is eaiser at job fairs i know this 1 comming up on oct. 8th in universal city frm 12 to 4 pm asuming ur out of skl the number 4 the info is 213-385-4781

resume. If you don't already have one, make one. Sign up for places like careerbuilder.com, monster, etc... Also there are certain papers/like a news paper you can pick up that are just for jobs. the employment guide is one. Also maybe looking into places like appleone if you dont mind floater/temp work.

You are not alone in having a hard time finding employment. The economy is struggling and the unemployment numbers are at an all time high right now. Many.. many people are getting laid off as opposed to being fired,quitting.

talk to friends and see if they know of any openings coming up soon or if they can give you a good recommendation. classified ads, craigslist, you can also try employment agencys...

hi! i spent a long time looking for a job, so make sure you understand that this is going to take a lot of work. first thing you need to do is build a resume. go to monster.com, and they will help you step-by-step on how to build it. leave your resume public for employers to contact you, and make sure you spend several hours a day browsing through ads to apply for jobs. remember that everyone else is looking for jobs too, so you have to make yourself sound promising. it has to be come a full time job for you to actually FIND a job.

Hey! I already have a pretty good resume that my mom made for me, thing is its sorta wack cuz I really dont have any experience. I worked for a cell phone accessory wholesaler the past 2 years, worked for a medical company for like a month and UPS for like 2 months. Uggh, looking for a job SUCKS!
