For those who are not aware....Christopher Lawrence(my fav trance dj) and his hott wife have teamed up to form a musical duo of sorts. And they are going to be playing in LA for the first time this coming Monday!!!

Famous for his tough trance sound, Christopher Lawrence joins forces with his wife Sara for a new DJ side project 'Mr & Mrs Smith'.
Christopher says: ""Mr & Mrs Smith' is an opportunity for me to play music that I couldn't normally incorporate into my main room trance sets. There is a right place and a right time for any type of music and the sound we've been working on is perfect for afterhours, industry events like WMC, or side stages at festivals, away from the chaos of the main stage, where true music lovers can get their groove on. This is a sound which is influenced by the many hours we've spent partying at afterhours and in backrooms over the years".
So what exactly is this style of music? Sara says "There are three criteria. The tracks need to be tough and sexy, with a groove. Progressive, electro, house, techno - we don't care what the genre is".

heard about this, looks dope. i was legit mezmerized the first time i saw him at coachella. had been a fan of his mixes from online, but never saw him live until then. hes a fucking amazing dj, would love to see how his wife adds into the mix...

I just wish he didn''t have to move from his homebase of los angeles....but I guess the scene out here has little need for big trance djs such as himself which makes me sad.....

id be down but im not in LA cuz im at school in SB, and its prolly 21+ huh...

Supposedly Mr. and Mrs. Smith is focusing on a more proggy and funky music; specifically techno, electro, and progressive. I'm sure you'll see him throwing on some of the amazing stuff coming off of Iboga Records these days, as it comes close to the realm of the psy he plays in his trance sets, but the new Iboga prog is like deeper techno electro. I'm sure you'll also hear more recognizable tracks too.

It's funny that he's ditching trance in favor of techno/electro with his wife, because I've found that a lot of "wives" and "girlfriends" are big fans of this music. As a DJ who normally plays psytrance (like CL), I also find myself with a girlfriend who digs the tech electro sound.

I may actually go check this out, we'll see.

i don't know exactly how i feel about dj's plus their wimmenz. is attraction so base that you fall for someone with a musical taste so much like your own? (i dig it when a girl has stellar taste in music.)

both of their outfits are too slack for the image i think he's trying to attain.

yea he ran the spectrum from tech to progressive to good electro..... definitely wouldn't mind catching them again at a club or would be awesome if they were booked for a rave!

fucking great show....he played allot of electro banging shit...not my fav style....he played allot of shit from dj dans live sets..

it was fun.....

he had the same style of mixing as he always has...but this time he just played more bangin electro as i said above!!!!
