I've been looking forward to this party since january. I will be there, hardcore.

KOTC parties are fucking tight. I went to home bass once and it was sick. Hot as fuck. But sick.

Yeah, but tickets were hella cheap for the longest time. For months... lol. People have had plenty of enough time to get their shit together for this party. It's been announced for months.

LA has had the best uk hardcore/freeform talent in North America with the exception of SF.
At the moment its lacking a bit but there are some good heads out there still. Energy isnt really a part of that crowd anymore .

California is basically the only state that plays it 'consistently', although New York has been getting bigger recently. Through history of Nor Cal & So Cal, we've had No Left Turn, Cloudskipper, Paulina Taylor, Mindcontroller, etc. It's just whether "you like the genre or not" that will determine if you can accurately gauge the relative quality. If you dont like hardcore which is understandable then it pretty much stops there

The times I've gone to Arizona, it's been nothing but Happycore. They have Starr and Sixxx!

BTW people who went last year, can you give a little more info about KOTC's parties? I saw the pictures on their website but I haven't heard much about them or their parties to be honest. Thanks!

let me start off by saying i HATE happyhardcore with a fucking passion. i was forced by my ex gf to go to this party last year.

they charged 30 dollars at the door all night which is why im shocked its 40 bucks for this one. i thought the price was totally fair and considering the venue and production, it was well worth the 30 spent. the lighting looked top notch, sound was ok and the venue was sick as fuck (union station)

my complaints were:

they put 2 stages b2b facing the speakers away from each other because they didnt have enough room, then seperated it all by a big curtain. the sound bleed was really bad if you were by the sides but for the most part not THAT big of a problem.

the lack of diversity in hardcore music got pretty annoying after about 3 hours. it was nonstop gabber all night then generic overplayed happycore songs for the rest the time.

the second room was waaay too diverse in that none of the music blended together at all. one minute it was breakbeats then all of a sudden trance then hardstyle. didnt know wtf was going on and when it was bad, there was nowhere to escape to ><. also the second room had no production whatsoever. they just relied on the union station overhead lights for lighting. no deco either.

other then these complaints it was a pretty dope ass party. i had fun. i loved the laser being shot on the wall, and the police sirens with fake police lights was pretty fucking funny cuz all the etards were freaking out thinking the party was getting raided.

they had a problem with a naked guy running through the crowd to rubbing his penis on people. thought that was pretty scary

o and on a side note, hixxy fucking sucked. he was too drunk to play and trainwrecked several times, played horribly overplayed tracks that arnt even his production, and pretty much all round dissapointed.

Yeahhh youre right the AZ scene for sure. I guess I shoulda said "by region", the west coast as a whole plays more hardcore than anywhere.
