No matter what his indiscretions were in later life - I still look upon his early stuff - pre-derangement - as a very effectual musical part of my life.. His music definitely "got in", so to speak, and for that, I thank him. His talent for singing was unparalleled, and even to this day, no one's voice has been able to so easily slip past critique and hit straight to the soul..

What a life - what a change.. He became something the world looked down upon, when as a child, and young adult, he had the world at his fingertips..

An amazing person, and quite the amazing journey downward into some strange eruption of his life's tragedies, abuses, and mistakes.. I imagine his mind had the most to do with his declining condition, and eventually, his death today.

I will miss the Michael I knew through music, and so loved that way.

Wow I can't understand how people can still joke about someone even in death? That's seriously fucked. I'm not even going to ask about vibes, plur, or any of that other bullshit.

He was a musical genius and regardless of how you felt about him he was a person in a position that none of us will ever fully understand. It's sad and his death is not more or less important than anyone else's but it's still a life lost. One of immense contribution to ALL music. Any real artist can respect that.
