kidding ofcourse, DT along with symphony x and nevermore are all progressive metal, DT obviously being "boring" because you're not there to see them perform music, you're there to:

a) do drugs

b) watch them dance around like monkeys

c) dance around like a monkey

that being said, i wouldn't sit around for opeth if they were playing with DT

i'd go to see DT and hope something else that's equally awesome comes on.

as for anyone who just adds something to the suffix core, go die in a fire, you wouldn't know how to classify music if you were handed a list of every group and the genre that they are.

yeah macro was suited more towards jazz drumming, leaving him in the band would only limit his creative abilities as a drummer since necrophagist drumming is way different than marco's style. but him and Muhammed suicmez are starting a side project, so im hoping to see what crazy shit they can come up with. I was actually there to see DT perform because I like some of their studio work.

I was 100% sober, didnt even have a beer. Im a music listener first and foremost, I go to concerts every single week.


Dt was pretty mediore to see live imo.
The guy on the keyboard was a fucking badass though. he was the piano equivalent to petrucci pretty much. i was down with that guy.
DT's whole atmosphere and iconography is somewhat cheesy too, coming from an artists perspective.

i'm a huge jordan rudess fan, he's an amazing musician.

i hear he's a great person, never met him personally but i've interacted with him on the forums and he's very polite.

that being said on camera he's a ham.

dt can be boring to watch live, but they perform their music so well that it makes up for the fact that they just kinda stand there, the only other performer i've seen do their music as good or better than the studio version is joe satriani.
