So how many people agree with this? To what degree? I have some strong opinions, but gotta run for the moment. Discuss and I'll pitch in my two cents later

nah.
my best conversations/realizations in life/enlightenment has not involved MDMA or hard drugs. a lot of times weed.....but a lot of times just around great friends during a great/enjoyable experience. |

wow is this what that soulwax song is about?
i mostly agree with it. it also probably depends on the person; mdma helps people open up and sometimes is really life-changing that way, but that's not the case for others (and for them it's more of the "e talking"). some of the negative effects of mdma on erowid: "tendency to say things you might feel uncomfortable about later" "inappropriate and/or unintended emotional bonding" and i'm sure you and i have seen this many times. nothing new :P |

Klover, you did not address the question. I don't doubt you've had some enlightening conversations while sober... however, while you are rolling, during THOSE conversations, are those legitimate feelings/beliefs/opinions or have the drugs got a hold of you?

For most part the feelings are genuinely mine and not just the E-talking, they are just overdone on E.

All the E does is loosen you up so that you say things that you would ordinarily keep bottled up inside.
I mean, those words come from somewhere. It's not like it's a little guy that climbs into your brain and takes you over. |

Nobody "takes you over", but the pills you take put you in an atypical state of mind, and thus your perceptions under those circumstances may not reflect your true feelings/thoughts

I think drugs affect ppl differently for me, E makes me very honest and open with my feeling. So its not the E talking it's me, yet under the influence i lose the inhibition to hold it in. This might be the truth for other ppl , because once you allow yourself to think about things you wouldn't have before you start to develop a new perspective on certain issues.
