Damned straight i got lucky. I used up all my luck. I was in 5 tanks, 3 of which were catastrophic kills, lost a couple hmmvvs, and saw a lot of wierd shit i dont want to go on about.

PTSD, bad sleep, edginess .. there is no 'glory' in war. Do i want to go back? Fuck no. No luck left. Heh.

It's a known FACT the recruiters lie! everyone knows that! lol you cant tell me otherwise cuz ive talked to a lot of the military people and they have been lied to by their recruiters. cuz the recruiters get a cut! my boyfriend's recruiter told my boyfriend that they have the best computer systems in the world, blah blah blah. after he joined, he finds out the military uses the old 90's DELLS. (he worked with spy planes and is a computer geek)

you misunderstood me, people who change their minds (when they have JUST finished boot camp) and do not want to return, they get calls from their recruiters and get threatened and harassed why? because then the recruiters will not get their full cut.

you have to think it this way though, the county jails have murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc. etc. but like i said before, i just HEARD that the brig was a bit better than the actual county jails.

if you dont want to go back to the military services yourself, why are you speaking soo highly of it? i understand you urself had a somewhat good experience and has directed you to the right place in life, but some people have no luck at all. so it seems like you want people to sign up and go to iraq.

People - for the most part - dont sign up to go to iraq. The ones that do shouldnt be in the military in my opinion. But it's a given that if you are in the military, you will do combat somewhere if there is combat to be done.

And i do think you are misinformed, i dont think youre lying.

But i know for a fact recruiters dont get any kind of 'cut.' There is no commission for recruiters when they put people in the military.

As far as my experience is concerned, ive had a good time thus far. Yeah, ive been at a lot of shitty bases and shitty places, but the key is making the best out of it. Im currently stationed at a shithole, but the way i deal with it is to fill my spare time with awesomeness - which happens to be the beach, traveling, and awesomeness that are the ravelinks people.

The military is not for everybody - ill agree with that - but if youve signed up for a set period of time .. its youre duty to serve your time. You raised your hand and swore to defend the country.
