I.T. at it again WTF?

So at their last show Existence (that didnt do well), this crew paid DJ's and production with personal checks. Well apparently those checks werent good and screwed over alot of people, including talent from Canada who couldnt even cash the check in the first place, cause they have no Washington Mutuals there lol! How many times does this crew have to f**k up, piss ravers off, screw their DJ's etc...its unbeleivable. Oh and they are posting Voices FTU bulletins now saying "a new venue and a new scene is what we need", that kind of insults me saying we "the scene" are not good enough for I.T. Productions. Thoughts people??? I know its an old topic but damn, again?

people DEPOSIT checks...into their account....a US check can be deposited in every..i repeat.... EVERY single country in the world....

next...I am sure Moe will striaghten out the issue. Often groovetickets take longer than expected to get the check to the promoter - or the promoters bank take longer than normal to clear the check. It happens.

and lastly - edm is a small world. people wouldnt play for moe if he didnt pay his debts - or have a damn good reason to hold someones pay.

people shouldnt be posting stuff like this on the boards....THIS hurts the scene. If you have a problem with a party or an event then fine...post all you want...but unless you get involved to the point where you KNOW how things work and have expierience in them...please keep crap like this off the boards....

oh cause your such a seasoned promoter. I call B.S. when I see it and if this was the first time they have ripped people off, screwed DJ's over then I would see your point. I'm just calling them out for doing bad business for the hundredth time. You defending Mo doesnt make Beatdrop look good, also either does trying to run on other people's dates, or calling certain promoters and telling them if you dont give them a date you'll run against them. Ya I know alot of stuff that goes on behind the scene, and I support alot of crews, but when one repeatedly pulls shit like this i'll post it as well as others! Just cause you had one semi - successful big party doesnt mean youre the shit! Semi meaning (good turnout, but got shutdown), do what you gotta do but defending I.T. won't help your place in this scene Winter! Am I a promoter, by all means no..but I know all of them and word gets around in this scene fast.

First - Im not defending anyone. I am saying this should be kept off the boards. What is the point? Where did you get your info? If a DJ was pissed off and posted something...fine...it should be here. But who the hell are YOU to get involved? If a DJ posts stuff, if an employee of Moes complains....FINE, give us your opinion...give us your thoughts. Thats not what happened here....you heard something from someone and posted it here. The point is a lot of people do this WAY to much. If you dont know, if you werent part of it...then dont post it and cause drama.

If Moe screwed me....it would be posted and I would be bitching (and plenty of DJs have called out promoters on these boards....)...I think if YOU get screwed you SHOULD tell people....myspace bulletin that shit...everyone should know if a promoter does something blatantly shady.

Next; you are right....almost...I called up the Anthera and was like "BITCH GIMME YOUR DATE....." NOT (anthera is a good friend...thats why I used his name..haha) Someone wants to run the "calender" here in LA. I wanted a date - that date is taken. So I emailed the person who is working on straightening out dates (which is a good thing, so parties dont run against one another) and said

"I want this date, but I am pretty sure someone else has it. I need a date within a THREE MONTH time frame (i said September to the end of November)...Ill take any date that isnt right before a massive - or I have to run on said date " (almost exactly what I said, some info was omitted to keep other crews out of this thread)

What it comes down to is no one OWNS any date. Its just BAD business to run against someone (i passed economics class!) so I gave the person running the calender a three month span to give me a date that no one was using...sounds plenty fair to me. I had one requirement, it not be before a massive....so I think that is plenty fair for everyone right?

there was the same drama.
but it was kept behind the scenes.

i partially blame crews and promoters...
but also blame whiny and nosy ravers that bitch about things not related to production/problems that could have been avoidable by being less stupid...and thus force crews to go on the defense and explain themselves.

lol, post it up. it's it productions. they've already ran their shit into the ground. they don't have a good rep. it's not like he's really tarnishing it.

this is exactly the kind of thing that everyone needs to know about. ravers should be going to the parties to see the djs. if we are paying for the parties, we deserve to know where the money is going. if it's not going to the djs, or anything like that.. WHERE THE FUCK IS IT GOING?!!?!?

we need more djs to STAND UP and say what goes really behind the scenes. i'm tired of promoters and djs and everyone walking around on eggshells because they are afraid to have an opinion because they might lose a show.

quick dicking us around and tell us whats REALLY UP other than saying "dont say that" or "you dont know what you're talking about"

(that isn't directed towards winter just so you know. again, i just mean in general)
