Vista is one of the worst os i have ever seen, they should have stuck with XP to me vista looks like windows wanted to be more like mac, and they have so many useless things just eating up memory and your video card such a waste |

Downgrade implies going to an inferior previous setting, and from what ive noticed re:vista, it only excels in low end security. Ive found no person that tech savvy to any degree to actually enjoy any user feature on vista when compared to xp. XP is an upgrade in every way - game studios arent even supporting vista fully yet. |

I think we had same issue at work.
(hard to tell for sure) If I remember, INSTEAD of clicking "find avail wifi...?", RIGHT_CLICK the aforementioned "find avail wifi...?" box and choose "find wifi net...? I can't be certain until tomorrow am. (took 2 programmers, 1 EE, and a dog two days to figure it out) It's a stupid permissions based...Vista is extremely Unix like, in it's root permissions, but the fucked it up in their menus. (Also make sure the wifi button is to the "on" position (yeah, yeah,...just make sure)) if still stuck, I'll see if I can recreate. ![]() |
