Permanently disable sticky keys.

If the on screen keyboard isn't working then that sounds like a software issue.

As far as desktops go, nothing beats putting it together yourself. You can buy high quality parts and know exactly whats in your setup and how it all works all the while saving thousands of dollars.

I mean, if you want to pay 3500 dollars for a brand name that uses middle grade chinese ripoff parts, go ahead.

I prefer msi/asus for my video cards and motherboards.

If you want help assembling your own system, contact me and ill help you put together whatever kind of AMD box you want.

For laptops, i recommend [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Ok, I'm a geek.

1st. Backup (onto another location) anything you want to keep!

2nd Is the mouse the one that came with it?

yes= reinstall driver in Hardware manager
no= install driver for your mouse.

3rd If have touchpad enabled, disable and see if problem persists, if goes away, reinstall touchpad driver.

still no workie....

final - goto [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] download the "Live CD " ,burn the CD.
Insert said cd into 'puter - click "INSTALL"

Welcome to the world of Linux.

What do PC's and Air Conditioners have in common?
- Both useless with Windows open!

I got no issue with BSD or the BSD license - Fuck gnu

But for a newbie - compiling kernel headers just to make sendmail work seems a bit much!

Free BSD is actually not bad.

If you can't make Ubuntu work,
PEBKAC - all the way

(Problem exists between keyboard and chair)

only second to RTFM!

my external hdd is not working.

its a western digital 320 premium edition.
ive rolled back the driver to umm nothing. there was no other driver. went into cmd prompt and did the show disconnected drives and devmgmt.msc uninstalled every instance of the disc and still wont auto play. the folder will not show up in my comp directory.
i plugged it into my brothers lappy with the same results.
i guess it is a partition problem, but i do not want to format it.
its 40g of music and like 20 of my fav films. along with thirteen thirty seven pr0nz and stand up.
someone remote fix it.
my password is A. like appleLOL.

Is it a 3.5" or a 2.5", either way, drives shouldnt need drivers.

If it's a 3.5", disassemble the case and mount the drive into a pc somewhere and test its workitude.

If its 2.5", do the same after getting a kit. Find one on ebay cheap.

Hey hate to thread jack but i figured i would post my probs as well Got a rather new HP Gateway notebook running vista that has a really weird networking issue. Whenever I am on my home network, the computer doesn't want to identify the network. Its really weird, there are 5 computers total on this wireless network and all others work fine with this being the newest computer! Is it vista? Every time i boot the comp it sits there for like 2 minutes trying to identify the network, it never does, just ends up connected to it as an unidentified network with limited access??? I troubleshooted and noticed that the wep key for my network always resets to some 6 digit key that i have no idea about. After i go into the security settings and type in the true wep key everything works fine but only for about 1-3 hours max then the network magically becomes unidentified with limited access again??? After going through this around two times it won't even connect to the net even when i type in the correct key. Is there someone remotely fishing with my network settings???? Whenever im at school or like starbucks it connects fine with no issues at all, im online at a starbucks right now lol. I dunno been trying to fix this for the past few weeks and its driving me crazy!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!1111

All i needed to read was 'vista' and 'networking'.

I tried to fix a vista pc once .. i failed at finding where vista kept its network settings.

I recommend upgrading.
