We got the following e-mail at my work (we are an engineering firm) and I was already volunteered for the list!

To All:

We are forming a P2S Spirit Team with the aim of introducing an employee recognition rewards program. In addition to taking a look at activities that would create a rewarding work environment, the team will also be planning some after-hours activities for employees.

What sort of mathematics does that major get into?

Yeah, EE, but Power, not electronics... You have to go through all the calculus and high level differential equations... I also took advanced linear equations...

The Calculus I am not worried about it's the differential equations that scare me in relation to physics.

Actually, riemann geometry looks like that will be the killer if I can even make it past diff eq's and tensor calculus.

Advanced linear equations, that's the same as abstract algebra?

I don't think so... Linear algebra is the math behind computers... matrix... kernals... etc.

I just had a natural talent for differential equations, but I had friends in EE who had to take it mutiple times... The differencial equations that I used in physics (quantum and normal) and fiber optics were not as hard as the ones we got into for EE...
