We got the following e-mail at my work (we are an engineering firm) and I was already volunteered for the list!
To All: We are forming a P2S Spirit Team with the aim of introducing an employee recognition rewards program. In addition to taking a look at activities that would create a rewarding work environment, the team will also be planning some after-hours activities for employees. If you would like to be part of this initiative, please sign the sheet on the cafeteria window. |

Are you an EE?
What sort of mathematics does that major get into? |

Actually, riemann geometry looks like that will be the killer if I can even make it past diff eq's and tensor calculus. Advanced linear equations, that's the same as abstract algebra? |

I just had a natural talent for differential equations, but I had friends in EE who had to take it mutiple times... The differencial equations that I used in physics (quantum and normal) and fiber optics were not as hard as the ones we got into for EE... |
