yeah i really missed having drinking fountains. skills in SF always finds a venue with one. hell...most SF crews use venues with one. but 3$ water isnt bad at all. i only spent 5 on a redbull...got free water from people the whole night and the barman gave me a free orange juice at one point. why did you pay 20 dollars for parking? and why do people bitch about that? of course they overpay for parking. i parked 2 blocks away, FO FREE! i always drive and never pay for parking...even if i park 5 blocks away. 1, 4, & 5 on the negatives are pretty much personal downsides. sorry to be so....against your list. i really am full of but i just woke up...Quote:

and I don't think there was ever supposed to be more than 3 rooms. GTFO of the trance room, then it's mad easy to enjoy a massive sober. |

yeah the music at the "third area" was really good...but wasn't loud at all due to the lame set-up. screw them for putting the awesome house/jungle beats outside. the bass was still really good though. all the budget went to the venue and the talent. im getting pissed off when crews advertise a great theme and don't pull it off. other than the DJ booths...nothing nature. this rave made me realize how FUCKIN LAME ECSTASY IS. not worth it for the people who cant handle it, feel like shit afterwards, or dont remember half the night. there are several people i know that use it well and for the enhancements. they also have experience with it so they know all that other crap with regards to taking it and don't have a bad comedown or dont feel shitty the next day. and they can be on 4 pills BUT THEY DONT LIE DOWN ON THE FLOOR! in the last hour, while dancing in front of the speakers for glaude, some guy was passed the fuck out against the giant pillar....stepped on his leg, he looked up, and then passed out again. hooray for rowdy rolling his baaaaaalllls off but still dancing and eating and being alive in the morning. and having the prettiest pupil/iris ratio when the sun rose. ![]() i danced on some cuddle puddles btw...oops. we're not saying dont sit against the SIDES; you know we prefer when people sit on the side. but where do people flock when there is an emergency? the doors. where do the excess of people go when going through the doors is slow? the sides and along the wall underneath the overhang. either way...with 7,000+ people in a venue....that many people sitting is dangerous. i need to start getting more sleep. hey tofu...can we get a thread to be stickied about informing people on things such like this?everything from rave basics to technicalities of fire marshals? this forums biggest asset is its education to noobs(hell, look how far ive come along), but i feel like half of it is lost in the different threads. it got squished during ATBs set, of course, but in the middle-back there was good room. and upstairs there was tons of room to dance, you just couldn't see the stage if you weren't pressed against the railing. my only complaint on the amount of people was at the end when everyone in front was just standing there. If i were a DJ....id want the crazy, energetic dancers right up front, so i can know how well my mix is. not the people just swaying or bobbing their heads. especially to funky house. that shit is music made for jumping. My grievances:
Hahaha were they really charging $30-$40 for parking? jesus christ, street parking ftw. I was pleasantly surprised by the line situation, expecting winterfresh/Together As One-esque multiple hour endeavor, but rather had a wait of maybe 3 or 4 people on the street side lines. The place was crowded, but all in all, except for atb's set, there was at least a little distance between people to move around. however, the constant motion of dazed druggies running into/pushing past me and mine was getting fucking ridiculous as the night progressed. I see you're fucked up beyond comprehension and in a dazed drug stare, but come on have some fucking common courtesy (or keep catching my elbows to your abdomen). Dear guys: do you think everyone in the party is rolled out of there mind? Making it ok to try to kiss and/or molest any girl that catches your fancy? granted there was an extreme surplus of cock at the party, but get some game ffs... your never goin to catch a girl by coming up and humping her leg in an attempt at 'dancing' dnb was pretty tight, cept when they got too hip hoppy. the laser set up in both rooms was pretty freakin sweet. good idea bouncing them off the mini disco balls. green velvet wasn't as rockin as i expected, but still pretty good nonetheless. he kinda blew it with some of his track selection imho. atb sucked bawls... i recalled a much more enjoyable set last year, but maybe it was just the ecstasy crush i had with me at that party. The end of the nite was rather comical, starting with them stopping entrance to the main room from outside around 330....under the presupposition that it was 'over capacity.' hahah there were like 3000+ more people in there for atb's set. anyway we head over to dnb, here a couple from Rush & Optical, the mc's build up for ONE LAST SONG.......then 3 minutes later they come back and say nevermind. hahahh. |

green velvet sucked compared to their hype...but then again the hype was huge. i think people who weren't rolling balls noticed this better. maybe it just didnt match my dancing...but i felt like the tempo was off....was stuck between good BPM speeds. and ATB was great listening music...didnt get me pumped at all. I actually think other than glaudes set my favorite DJ was the one spinning in the main room at 9, the DnB room at 10, and the outside area at 11. closing that pathway at 3 30 was BULLSHIT. thank god i was inside the main room. my friends wanted to go to DnB and me being a good sport(nothing against DnB, my legs just cant take it at 3 30 am) went with them, but the second we got there they closed the path in front of us. the venue people got pretty damn anxious to close it exactly at 4 AM. |

I had a blast! This event was perfect.
Met so many people and got a lot of pictures! I found a dimesack of weed on the floor and some girls license. Also I saw some thirteen year old kid who looked like he was ten years old. |
