It was a really fun night.
I got there around 10:00 or 9:45, and got in with no line, which was a big surprise! Distorted Minds tore that shit up in the dnb room, everyone was going bananas, i broke up one cuddle puddle in the dnb room, lol.
Green Velvet was pretty cool, and atb's set was nice chill beautiful music. Singing along with everyone to the song ecstasy was a moment never to forget, it felt as if everyone was one, amazing feeling. It was real crowded during the atb set, but it was still hella fun! One thing about atb's set though that left me pretty bummed out was that he teased us with the vocals from "it's a fine day" but never dropped the song.
The balcony area really chill and it was fun giving people light shows there, and was a good place to rest as well. Ed Rush and Optical was fuckin SICK!!!! I loved the dnb room, heard a lot of good songs all night like rockstar, raising the roof, mr happy, ladies night, pornstar, etc. etc.
Went to the dnb after hours also, it was alright, just smoked herb, listened to the music and chilled. Overall it was a fun night.
Desygne hit me up about the rl meetup, but i was too into the music to wonder off and look for it, oh well maybe next time.

The night was really nice!

Was in dnb the whole night.

Good sets all around, lovely jump up mash ups.
I liked Brian Gee.
Ed Rush and Optical made my entire night though. So hyped and happy to see them. Big up to Virus!

One thing though....

Adam F was there!!!!!!
His name wasnt even on the lineup and when I didnt expect it boom there he is!!!

I hope you all had fun as well, and it was nice seeing some of you guys there! I saw several friends, showstoppa , and had a nice time talking to Hive!

it was my friends first rave, as he has been wanting to see live drum and bass since nocturnal which he really wanted to go but couldnt, so I finally took him.

How sweet was it?

Pretty sweet for me.

WhiteKnight's review of How Sweet It Is:

Night started with four friends and myself meeting at my house around 6:30. Two of them were first timer ravers (and rollers) and two were somewhat more experienced.

We go to Subway and eat a light dinner at which point I get a call from Showstoppa(Katskan) telling me that her ticket is a fake and that someone she knows can drop it off at my house. We end up going back to my house and waiting like 30 minutes for this guy while some of my friends got impatient. Eventually he shows up and we leave.

Car ride is pleasant without too much traffic from the San Fernando Valley to the Shrine. Once we park and fill our pockets with our ticket info, lights, and gum...we head off to the willcall booth. Walked right up and got our tickets in seconds which was awesome at which point I also found Katskan to give her the ticket that belonged to her.

My friends and I get in line which is somewhat unorganized and should have been divided more evenly rather then people just scattering through it and going in whichever line they liked...or cutting. We got into this line around 8:05 and didn't get into the venue until 9:00 which was somewhat annoying...but Ive been in worse lines before. Tried to stay positive since the event was going until four.

Made our way over to the restrooms and water to take our substances of choice, at which point I noticed it was pleasant and not too cold outside which made me really happy. After the commencement of killing brain cells, my friends decide to sit down outisde while waiting for it to come up while I would have much rather been inside. I would have seperated myself from them, but I wanted to be with the first timers.

My friends wanted to try meeting every hour on the hour just to stay in contact which kind of was a buzzkill. We went in and did a few lightshows and danced for a while at which point it was nearing 11:00 so I went to the ravelinks meetup. Found them easily and saw Klover, Rowdy, Katskan, Notes, Casperette and friend, and a couple others. Talked and danced for like 10-15 minutes and then did the Conga Line. I wanted to hang out longer but my friends texted to meet up which was the suck.

I go meet them around the Drum and Bass stage and we do an elevator with a few other people. I give a few lightshows and whatnot. I overhear someone saying the butterflies are being released at 1:00 when ATB is on and check my phone to make sure I got time. One of my friends who is rolling for the first time asks me if I want to sit down and talk (we have known each other since we were little kids). I kind of wanted to go inside and dance, but I wanted him to enjoy his first rave/rolling experience. The talk was awkward and I won't go in depth on it, but it definitely made me come down from my own roll quite a bit. Like 12:45 we go inside and meet with my other friends to take our last pills for the night and then go dance while ATB comes on....but where the fuck are the butterflies?

They never come and I don't know what was going on with that rumor but I get over it. I separate from my friends for ATB cause I want to go dance like a nut at the very front. I'm having the time of my life up there even though I wasn't rolling that hard. Just a very peaceful state of trance. I meet this girl named Miracle who I dance with, and if anyone knows her tell me. Not getting that girl's number is my biggest regret in a long long time. But I don't want to get mushy.

I dance until the very end and then find my friends and head back to my empty house to sleep.

Overall a very fun party and I was glad to share it with my friends and that girl who I hope to see again. My only complaints to the event would be the butterfly thing and the shrine auditorium being open, but I don't think insomniac started the rumors. Also could have been better decorated. I didn't think it was over crowded which I expected it to be. The talent impressed me although I missed a lot of Greenvelvet due to my friend talking to me which was the other downfall of the night.

Now to sleep while beating myself up more about that girl.

I think that everyone at How Sweet (basically Klover because he is my raver world) decided to just go back to Showstoppa.

First part of the talk was kind of like a listing of my flaws but in a constructive criticism kind of way. Was more awkward for me, but it was all stuff I knew about myself. Whether it was like me being negative or not wanting to do something with the group sometimes, or sometimes "one-upping" people or trying to impress others. Maybe it was cause I was rolling or just the environment we were in, but for part of the time it felt like an intervention although none of my flaws are that serious.

Then we just talked about our lives, love lives, families, etc etc. I know the two of us had grown apart, but there was a lot I didn't know that had been going on with him...and then whenever he asked me to talk I didn't really have much to say.

yeah it sucks, I know I'll get over it though...or who knows, maybe see her at another.

Not sure what I'll go to next...maybe Fresh or the Elf's Playground Remix. Kind of want something between now and POP.
