So i have spent the day recovering, personally

Got there around 10, chilled with my homies for a while before going to the meetup. It was really nice meeting all of you and actually being able to dance and chill with legit people.
(P.S. I was the candykid with the yellow goggles.)
Klover, it is always a pleasure
Katskan, i'm sure you're tired of hearing this... but you are fierce! and you got the groove.
Rowdy, I know you were having a good time.
It was mad fun ripping the floor with ya'll for Shake & pop.
Unfortunately I stepped away for a few minutes and everyone was gone from the front. Ran into LuSid again when ATB went on. It was so fucking crowded in the front... it was not a good place to be, if you know what I mean. He played a pretty bomb set though... not ashamed of liking anthem trance.
But nothing compared to Glaude. I have seen Glaude 5 times including last night, and goddamn if he didn't play the best fucking set last night, not to mention since Lovefest LA.

The night went by so quickly... and it was fucking crowded, but all in all a good night.

What did you guys think?

P.S. the guy with the cornrows who was holding the sign for the most of the time...Sorry I forgot your name! But I still have your jacket! let me know who you are you so i can pm/myspace you my number so you can get it back.

What's my take?

Bad:
----

1. Massives make a lone dancer like me feel squooshed.
2. They need to stop over pricing water...hell just give me a drinking foutain.
3. Packed
4. Didn't get to meet as many people.
5. Not making out with anyone.
6. 20 dollars for parking
7. Fuckers scalping tickets (die you capitalistic whores!)

Good.
----

1. The music wasn't cheesy anymore...at least from yesteryears raves
2. ATB had a solid set
3. THREE DRIVES ON A VINYL FTW
4. Meeting chill people at the bar
5. Having people complement me on my white argyle sweater and socks.
6. Not stepping over thizzin ravers when dancing.

Considering the amount of asians I saw at How Sweet It Is, it must be making a come back. lawl (btw im asian :P)

got there early at 7.
first went to the dnb room... greenlaw and distorted minds was great.
then i met up with homies. on the way to main room, i think i saw someone who looked like notes. notes, were you walking to the outside area a little before 11?

saw green velvet and visited the meet-up for 5 seconds. green velvet was groovy. and when ATB started playing...

everything from here is a blur because i was rolling bawlz. hardest i've rolled. i got a little nauseous, went upstairs and watched from overhead. i had to sit down cause i couldn't dance, unless you count lifelessly half-dancing, half-flailing around as dancing. actually now that i think about it, i'd rather have been doing that. i wanted to be in the crowd so bad. i knocked out for a good 20 minutes, more or less. i'm pretty fucking bummed i missed a lot of atb's set. i don't think being completely floored is my thing now... at least not often.
when i got back downstairs, donald glaude was playing. my friends wanted to leave early at like 3:20. wtf. never again. but at the time, i didn't care.

nothing like dancing, i wish i had done it more.

i want to add: it was just a little crowded. the people were nice. the decor could've been a bit better (i like a good theme). the line wasn't long. security was chill. that's all i can really say.

i had a SPLENDID time, i agree that Glaude threw down one of the sickest sets of the night. my ass is sore from all the dancing and lightshow-giving, i was all over the place! highlight of the night was sneaking backstage with bionica where the lighting crew was and watching ATB from a stones throw away, sorry to all u that were mashed up on the floor... it was all mission impossible style too, wait for the security guard to turn and rush the gate--hide behind the pillar, run down the hallways, mmmm good times!!

man... well i had a great night. EXCEPT I MISSED THE MEET UP! haha man i just lost myself in the d&b tent when distorted minds came on. i seriously just went crazy. (i was the guy in the robe-ish kimono type thing at the front who would sit up on the rail every once in a while.) wished i could have met all you fine people, but there's always next time
sets were epic in my opinion. especially distorted minds and glaude. glaude just threw it down hard. (haha that tune with the "welcome to the jungle" intro... that was awesome)

Dan 2x4 Donald Glaude > ATB and Green velvet

and by the end of the year im gonna have seen that combo 5+ times....and i will never get bored of it.

ATB was good to listen to...but the tempo was kind of off. same wih velvet

DnB was very good...just couldn't dance too much to it cause of a sprained calf.

no real bathrooms with sinks makes me miss SF raves....they always have sinks to refill.

security at the front of the line were assholes, inside they were really chill. didnt let in my closed, shrink wrap box of lollipops. sucked

cuddle puddles were not nearly as bad as i thought they would be. i was more pissed that for the last two hours people in the main room were just standing in the front. at etd LOVE i was able to get a good 5 ft x 5 ft area to dance, a mere 3 feet from donal glaude.

upstairs was a great place to chill if tired...cause the music could be listened to while not killing my head.

uuummmm....RL meet-up was good...but i think some people got confused over which steps to go to.

the bar man in the 21+ area gave me free orange juice...which made me happy.

met some awesoooome people and of course dont remember their names (sober people and first timers)

several things that made my night:

several ravelinkers, you know who you are: katskan, rowdy, sonic, whiteknight, notes...o god there are more but whatev. ya know i love you all. i've only gotten one hour of sleep since the event...and i was sober.

katskan you get an extra SHOUTOUT for a great time/conversation at the beach afterwards. and your frickin great energy/dancing/lightshows. at one point....you really did stop the show. sexy mofo.

and people at the beach....loved how everyone was rolling off my shit.

and rowdy....oreos!

highlight: after a dull 2 hours of just chilling, i wanted to find my two friends from norcal. they give epic hugs that will cause anyone to get a boost of energy and smile. i was just like...if it takes an hour to find them...i will take that time. finally found them...and after like 6 of the greatest hugs ever i danced the last hour off.

pretty sure im going to every event sober now. except for weed and maybe 1 pill if im just feeling like whatever.

chocolate, FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. if i seemed dull to anyone....its cause i've had the weirdest past week of insane natural highs and too much cardio exhaustion from running, biking, swimming, weights, and three sober raves in one week.

but even the moments where i was sitting alone just resting down, there is no other place i would have rather been.

hardcore elysium, anyone?

Fucking amazing.
Only my third rave ever. But my boyfriend and I took our friend for her first time ever, along with friends we met at love, so it was a GREAT time.
I thought the venue was shitty, no free water and you couldn't even sit...one or the other would be fine but both was ridiculous. SO MANY HUGS! Everyone was so engaging and thats what love is all about

THIS GIRL GIVES THE BEST FUCKING HUGS EVER! NOT YOUR STANDARD HUG EITHER!

it feels as if you're getting a huge hug while giving a huge hug at the same time...and kinda being squeezed and rubbed all over. hehe.

and i agree, WTF was up with the lack of decoration, other than the DJ booths???

can crews stop getting lazy with the deco instead of pocketing the money? especially with a theme like this one was supposed to be. i expected to be dancing among trees and vines and shit.

someone hire me to do decorations on low budget...ill make that shit spectacular.
