mmm, you have 2 years on me =P lol
my first rave was actually when i was about 16, in san diego at a wabash hall.. but i can hardly call that a rave. there very minimal people there. people were moshing, break dancing, it was lame... >.> oh and the eminem remix all night made me want to shoot a bunny... not a lust bunny, just a bunny. |

I was 17, freshman in college, went to Monster Massive 2008. After taking e for the first time ever like a month before, and hearing my friends who got back from Noctural tell me I had to go. It was fucking great. Since then I've gained a better appreciation for raves, since I don't get to go more than one time a month, two if I'm really lucky, and sometimes not at all.

was 19. had no idea what a rave was. just kinda showed up with my cousin who was a hardcore candy kid from australia and my rave dad who keeps his rave life separate. i was handed a shit load of pills throughout the night. did shameful things. went back again a month later. was handed more shit loads of pills. tried again two months later. more pills.
eventually wondered what it'd be like without the pills. that's when i discovered maybe raves were more than just drugs. i realized there were whole different kinds of genres. they were all colossally different. started going to events on my own to discover djs. the other friends that had gone with me at out first rave parted ways. they continued on their drug binges, and i continued on my own way. raves have changed me and i am drunk |

I wish I could say raving got me out of drugs, when really it just introduced me to the wonders of E. However, I'm really trying to cut back on the E usage. I'm doing really well too, I'm able to hold onto a "headstash", where as before they'd be gone in a matter of days...

I was 20, and its still the best rave ive been to so far. Seeing Chemical Brothers @ Nocturnal for the first time, at my first rave, was something I will never forget.

Let's see it was fall 2000 and I was 18. I had actually been into the music for a very long time but I lived in a very secluded town. Though I got my chops in SF my first party was a SUPER underground one in L.A. called DOSE. I seriously saw every drug under the sun being consumed - you name it, I saw it. Even more traumatizing was the Nordic Tracking (thank god that was an L.A. thing)!! I was hooked nonetheless.
I didn't roll for the first time until I had partied for about six months due to encouragement from the experienced ravers I hung with. I couldn't resist, though once I showed up to Popsikle 3 (now, of course, just called Pop) and had an AMAZING time. |
