I know some threads have been made regarding this......
but HOLY FUCK The acting was spectacular to the point that the emotions the character was feeling placed itself upon the audience. My heart was racing during several scenes and empathy was easy in regards to every character's situation. Not just the main characters...but every. single. character. The cop in the car who's family member was in a Hospital to the people on the boats. The writing was flawless. Yes, flawless. Every line had a meaning to the plot as a whole and was delivered perfectly in sync with the characters attitude/emotion. The games played back and forth between the Joker and Batman were played out in such an immaculate way that the audience felt as if they were part of the schemes as well. The themes... omg. Some in particular, without giving anything away: The detonator sequence scene on the two boats - BY FAR THE MOST IMPORTANT SCENE IN THE WHOLE MOVIE - and the conclusion The responsibility of Fox being in charge of the Sonar/GPS thing. Gordon-Batman-Harvey triangle...and the Joker "winning" The letter to Bruce How Batman must be seen in the end and a ton more. There were so many interconnecting themes and motifs overlapping one another...yet they blended and flowed PERFECTLY. As for Heath Ledger? Um.....one of the best acting performances I have ever seen on film. Period. There was no Heath in this movie....all you saw was the Joker...All you saw was the raw character that was meant to be there and a big 'fuck you' to any expectations to what comes next. Probably the best script/writing that will be seen in a movie this year.....depending on how "Quantum Of Solace" goes in November. If you have not seen it, go do so. |

Dont get me wrong the movie was amazing and all. The ending really did leave people saying "wtf" (if you know batman that is *shrug*, others who dont have a clue what its about can go in and say its the best movie evar =P ) Heath Ledgers acting, like i said i donno if it was himself or the director but i think he could have done ALOT better than what was played -- more for insanity purposes than the "evil" feel Two Face .. lol they didnt do well on him at ALL.. the actor yes it was a good choice for an actor and all.. but the makeup.. omg.. two face is not supposed to look like a trauma victim, his eyeball bothered me the entire time he was in the movie. Overall he looked like a Zombie/Trauma Victim i donno "Braaaiiiiinnss" I cant think of anything else that bothered me.. despite what im saying here the movie was fucking amazing, I just like to pick movies apart *shrug* and i would pay to see it again and again =P ![]() |

While watching heath play joker, i came to the conclusion that johnny depp might make a badass joker as well.
Bruce wayne is such a deuschbag when he's not bein' batman, he reminded me of the rich british kids from the Rise of Taj |

i saw the dark knight yesterday and duuuude. it blew me out of the water. i came in there with a kinda iffy stance on how heath ledger was going to do as the new joker, but once i saw his first appearance i just immediately knew he was gonna be phenomenal. only thing that really annoyed me was that gravelly voice that batman does. it sounded like clint eastwood with a cold and any sentence with more than five words started to sound very funny.
other than that everything was great. and yes, the part with the two boats was one of the best. one of the coolest new things is batman can turn his head now! thats a definite improvement! sort of...i'll miss the michael keaton "bat-turn" ![]() i really do hope ledger gets that posthumous oscar. |

Btw, part of their promoting was billboards of harvey dent, withe the caption "I support harvey dent!" and then 24 hours later all were spray painted black around the eyes and "too" added on to the caption. get the pun? |

You know too bad Tim Burton couldn't have made one or two Batman movies so we could've seen Billy Dee Williams's Harvey Dent turn into Two-Face. A black Two-Face played by Lando Calrissian and directed by Tim Burton? How awesome would THAT have been? |
