edm has been selling us everything from cars to groceries for at least ten years straight now...

you guys might wanna start listening to the music being pumped into your ears during commercials and at stores (including grocery stores and the evil empire of wal-mart)

hip-hop influences in edm can be traced back to the beginning of hip-hop (edm came first)

no need to be on a high horse about stealing beats... edm was born from stealing/mixing beats... no other genre has borrowed from other genres more than edm...

nice attempt to troll me, but shut up. edm is NOT mainstream in our culture. our mainstream is what we hear on kroq, mtv - the general, stereotypical anuses that shit out crappy music faster than they can ingest it.

soon it'll be mainstream, soon it'll be on kroq and mtv. soon it'll be all we hear. soon it will become shitty.
or maybe not? maybe new genres will develop. who knows.
pfft. as if american culture matters to me. i cannot listen to kroq, kiss, bet, whatever, and i dont watch mtv.

It's also played during the bumpers of AM radio talk shows.

And in Abercrombie and Fitch stores.

We are aware it makes good background music.

What was the point of this?

Not necessarily true. EDM will most likely do what is has been doing since the 80's which is bubble up to the surface of the mainstream and then sink back down into the underground...bubble up, sink down, bubble up, ect.

blah blah blah.......EVERY genre of music gets mainstream at some point, and the people who are die hard for that genre start bitching about "their" music turning to crap because of it.
And people complaining that the "newbs" who all of a sudden like a certain genre because its mainstream are only listening because its mainstream.....im guilty of making the same complaints

its happened with Rock, Rap, Country, and EDM already, and its gonna keep happening....its fucked up, but its all about the money

Techno will never have mainstream appeal. And I like that.

The rest of your music, though, do with it what you will.

ehhh.. it's the trend, it'll pass...

It happened with Indian and Arabic music... (punjabi mc with Jay Z and then everyone from beyonce to dr dre sampled shit from those genres genre). Then everyone got into dancehall and reggae... then it was latin music.. now.. its edm... it's 'the thing'... it will pass.. sure, it will suck while it's happening, but it WILL pass.

a lot of the indian samples were done by timberland (he produced big pimpin), i think he stopped because he got into a big lawsuit about sampling the songs without paying or something to that extent.

Do we make a point to call out how rediculous and retarded euros can be? Do we generalize all of Europe and call it's inhabitants no matter how different they may be, "ignorant".

Europe has it's problems, we could talk about the insanely blatant racism that is rampant in Europe ( Ie; throwing banana's on a soccer field at black players..etc.)
This is a common occurrence, not to mention, France...and god knows where else.

We could point out how Euros are the medias real bitch as they are the targeted audience for the anti-American propaganda machine.

Scoop, apparently you've never been here, and its more than obvious that you don't have a fucking clue what you are talking about..and that you buy into the media bullshit, more than most, and IMHO, that makes you one sucker ass bitch.

I'm sick of the anti-American bullshit, fed to me by assholes, who've never been here, and only know what they heard from some of the most biased bullshit media there is.

Europe's history is so pocked with black eyes, and issues of it's own how dare you call us out on our problems.
Earth to the self righteous in Europe...
we are good people, George W. is not representative of the people here.. the idiots that get blasted into your TV's (ie; Paris Hilton..other pop scum) are not representative of Americans.. we don't all think that way, and we don't all act like animals..
We have pride in our country, just like I assume you do for whatever part of this rock, you're from..but you sound like a jack ass.
Back off, quit grouping us all together, before we group you with the long list of evil retards Europe has produced. Where ever your from had it's rough period as there is no place that hasn't unless you live in the Netherlands or Vatican City or Switzerland..your country has had it's controversial times.
How many dictators have come out America? ZERO. How many countries have we taken over? ZERO. How many races have attempted to eradicate? ZERO.
It was asshole Euro's that started our country on the backs of slaves. It wasn't until we became a people unto ourselves that we we're able to shed that barbaric practice..at that fuck face Euro's that came here first couldn't even find their own land they had to forcefully eradicate the current inhabitants to have land...The American Indians may have been "savages" as asshole Euro's liked to say, but they we're savages ON THEIR OWN LAND.
And they had the nuts to call the indians "savage."
If anything, I am more ashamed, that is how our forefathers established us.

Once we ceased being snobby, racist, self-righteous asshole Europeans and became Americans' we took atleast two steps up the evolutionary chain.

P.s. Japan has been trying to be us since WW2.

go stick that in your troll pipe.
