hard Re: Fight the (unfair) Power ..

Ive won tickets using tral by declaration.

All you have to do, is post pone your court date, so the officer forgets info.
then you have to write a very detailed report that does no incriminate you.
the key is to NOT INCRIMINATE YOURSELF.

if you can do this then you should win.
point out the officers fault.
ask about the officers training with their equipment,
ask about the guns manual and when the officer last read it.
ask about calibration procedure, and make the officer show records of recent calibration up to the manuals specs.
Point out how the officer profiled you for being young/type of car, when he/she could have clocked another car and assumed it was you.
use yahoo maps/cell records.

I got a ticket for going 85+ on radar and won it using these tactics!
i showed when i punched out of work, time i called girlfriend to tell her im going home.
estimated travel time according to yahoo, where i got pulled over in ralation to how many minutes it would take to get home from that point.

just be precise and admit nothing!

p.s.

I WAS SPEEDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND ON RADAR DOING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND HAD A RADAR DECTOR THAT WENT OFF RIGHT WHEN SHE CLOCKED ME!!

AND SHE KNEW I HAD RADAR.

bitch

my boyfriend got a ticket last year for going 130ish on the 91E. the cop wrote it for 120. luckily it was at night so the freeway was pretty much empty, so the cop wasn't as big of a dick as he could of been.

Well my court date was today for a red-light-camera ticket...

i went..

and it was my favorite judge, ever. i swear i love this judge, he is the nicest man in the world and i was so happy to see him. when he does his job, he does it very light-heartedly and always throws in humor.

turns out the judge's last day of work, EVER, was today. with a happy retirement balloon behind him.

and instead of coming out in black robes, he had a hawaiian shirt on, hahahah i love that man.

it was a sort of sad day to see him leave... to see the justice system lose such an amazing person. but well guess what... he didn't GIVE A FUCK ABOUT SHIT and he told us all flat out he was using all his power as much as possible to dismiss as much fines/fees/violations as possible.

When my turn came, he immediately dismissed my ticket and fine of $450.

before i went off the stand, i caught him off guard by telling him that several months ago he had ordered me to take 12 NA meetings... and that i am eternally grateful for the chance he gave me to do that. i told him how he will always have a special place in my heart for making me go through that. it helped me understand a lot about myself faster than i would have. he told me "oh i'm glad to hear we did something right here all these years.. go on now.. you're giving me the warm fuzzies too much" haha

martin wegman, have a happy retirement.

and yes, fight the unfair power.

Congrats anto - good to see all of us are fighting the corrupt system in place to limit our fun (i understand your case anto, running red lights isnt fun in any sense, but that isnt what happened w/you.)

Dook - good luck on your tickets. Yeah, if you dont have evidence on your side, postpone as much as you can and then the chances are greater that your case will be dismissed, or youll see the da and he'll be like 'ok .. umm .. lets make this felony wreckless driving into a .. umm .. turn signal violation' - saves court costs, time, and everything.

Either way good luck

Lawless .. i sense some sarcasm in your message. I do abide by the law .. as was evident in my 'not guilty' of SPEEDING.

PS
Dont everybody forget; WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY .. WEST LA COURT. 1/2 a dozen psy-minded beachy individuals will take on the one and only THE MAN in an epic battle of civil rights vs BEING PUT DOWN.

Dont miss this one, come out, grill some burgers and show your support.

i highly doubt that

when cops, especially a bored CHP officer in the middle of the night stops someone doing 100+ mph, they get alot worse than a speeding ticket.

i've seen reckless driving charges, vehicles being impounded, and people spending the night in county jail for doing 100+ ...

lol i think its hilarious that people try and debate that it didn't happen. tell that to the hole in our wallet (the ticket alone was nearly $500), and the points on his record.
the freeway was clear, he was the only one on it, which is why he didn't get any more charges than that. he COULD OF gotten impounded and jail time, but he didn't. the cop even said that he could of done all of that but didn't. it was like he wanted to write the ticket and get on with his night.
it all depends on the cop. some cops turn their cheek and look the other way. i've seen people get in trouble, and i've been with people who didn't get in trouble.

it's like when you get caught with weed (im talking about if you are not medical) sometimes you can get in trouble, and sometimes the cop will just be like "fuck it!". cops are lazy fucks. sometimes they do not want to deal with the hassle of paperwork and arresting somebody. i've personally been in a situation that could of ended in arrests, but the cops SAID they were not going to do that because they didn't want to deal with all the work that took.

jims criminal justice teacher was talking about someone who was getting robbed at gunpoint. he was a cop. they were in new york. he wasn't a cop for them. they saw a couple getting robbed at gunpoint. he asked them. "shouldn't you stop that?" and they said "no, we're getting off soon. he'll be back out on the streets before we are". they didn't even fucking want to stop someone from getting robbed at gunpoint because they weren't going to be getting paid enough. not everyone on the force is there to serve and protect. you've got a lot of corrupt mother fuckers.

Along with Lazy I think that you also run into cops that don't completely believe in the system that the are obligated to uphold. I'm sure there are freeminded police officers that don't see some weed as a problem, or even drinking on the beach or other other violations that they are required to enforce. Alot of it depends on the officer and the person in violation. That morning in Venice out cop had a chip on her shoulder about the drinking, but I think I lot of it was the blatent Hookah smoking of those dumb kids next to us, The cops had already cruised passed us three times without saying anything. Those kids demanded their attention and it fucked the rest of us. Even then, she didn't ticket everyone ( our ticket is for being in the vacinity of open containers, which everyone was) and made it very easy for every underage person to depart the beach.Cest la vie. See you on Wednesday Pico!

You can tell your officer friend that he is a hypocrit. The system cleared me and yet he still villifies me. tell him he can sleep comfortably at night because ive quite a bit of driving experience. ask hin what he thinks of my skill:based licensing idea. sorry for the shitty formatting' not at a pc.
