Your friend is lucky ,only a year, chances of him/her actualy seeing a federal prison or state isnt likely. I know that most of them are over populated and while i was sitting in the can, there were a very large number of people ( violent and non violent offenders ) that where sitting for a very long time just in county. Also before anyone starts sayin oh well it could be just that county..... no it ranges from kansas city, denver, LA, and Orange county. So good thing is chances of gettin it in the butt... very slim... The only ones that ive seen get moved really quick is the freaks that want to just kill everyone. But over all.... federal is better than state.... in my opinion. Just think of it as who has better funding?

i served my time in a federal penn and i have served my time in a county/state jail..
if i had to go back to jail i would choose the federal system ANYDAY. i went for a non violent crime(copyright infringement) and it was a breeze. not exactly like a hotel but pretty close to it. You go to jail with people that have the same or almost same crime as you. i was in there with a bunch of tax offenders, etc. It all depends on the crime. But federal is alot better then state. |
