Many genre names = cool. Its like everyone wants to be unique now days, and by mixing genres and with all the new styles its only inevitable that the names come with it.

There is also that new genre Electrotrance Housecore.

It has that electro feel with the dirty lyrics and all but also with lots of vocal divas and hooks. It's also REALLY trancey and REALLY fast with a 4/4 but can also be slow and industrial. I heard some producers are starting to use Breaks even speeding it up to give it a Drum & Bass feel. Really good stuff but they might have to change the name if they keep doing that.

why even say trance, psy (even though that would be with trance...goa is the correct term here.), DNB or hardcore when they have nothing to do with this music?

electroclash is the proper term, electroclash came first and foremost... a clash between boring ass house and glitchy electro in places where people have good ears to form an amazing and brilliant genre which has spawned so many other great subgenres and incredible artists that to just pretend it doesn't exist and lump it in with just house or just electro would be fucking selling it wayyyyy short.

electroclash is the "i don't care about anything, i'm just going to call all of it 'this' " term.

so use that!

SO if you put the new electro clash with the Electro House, more people will find it..... But i really DGAF about genres. Its EDM, but yes electro clash does incorporate non VI's

first part of your post) couldn't agree more... the REAL electroclash was around late nineties early 00's with stuff like miss kittin, tieferschwartz, waldorf, effcee and shit like that. but at the same time, some artists continue to make that stuff here and today... i know a few good electroclash artists still working it out.

second part) only popular electro house kinda stuff is daft punk, axwell and shit like that... i don't even really like that shit, i need the stuff that treads more into the electro then the house... daft punk being the only exception.... just house or just electro is too boring... and electro-house is boring too because it's too heavily influenced by house.

so you need both to produce good chunes.
