Just because you happen to like drugs and a lot of other people there do as well that doesn't make the scene about drugs and its people like you that give it a bad image by saying it is about the drugs. When I talk to people that don't rave and they find out I go to raves the automatic response is so you are into all kinds of drugs. It is this image that gives the scene a bad rep and probably also why more people don't join it because they don't want to be associated with drugs. It really is about the music and if you chose to do drugs thats your choice and do those said drugs enhance your love for the music probably and does it add to everyones good vibe? Damn right it does. People like you set the image of the scene as strictly a drug scene and thats why the cops are cracking down on it so hard because of this image that the media and even you promote. Ravings not about drugs. It is about having a good time dancing with your friends and meeting new people. If you can't have fun without the drugs maybe you shouldn't be going at all. I know I have fun without drugs but I chose to do them because it makes the fun I am already having better and also it makes me more outgoing. Thats just my opinion and I'm not saying you are wrong. I am just stating my views on this.

It is human nature to alter one's perception, humans have been doing it through various means and for various reasons (spiritual, recreational, etc.) for thousands upon thousands of years. Now here's how it applies to the rave scene. We don't (or at least I don't) try to alter our perception when we have to deal with our normal everyday lives (e.g. work, school, etc.) We do these things in private or recreational settings, like a party or a friends house or during a ritual, or what have you. Now this goes on at large concerts, house parties, even the carnival sometimes (hehehe). The reason people identify the rave scene with the drugs is, as sad as this fact is, the musicians are not as internationally well known (among the general public, not just ravers, i mean) as, say, the headliners at rock concerts. The drugs are well known, however. This is why people associate the rave scene with drugs, and not the music. If people actually get the courage to go to a rave, they might see it for what it is, a music scene not more dangerous then a punk or metal venue, actually a lot less violent, if you ask me.

I don't think you read that very clearly. as you state that you loved the music before you did X and I said the same thing and I also said I have fun without the drugs at raves. I never did X in high school at all.

It is people like you "The Haters" that destroy the scene. I don't force people to do drugs and I don't care if they do or don't. You shouldn't hate on people that have different views as you. In no way does me doing what I do affect you or dampen your good time.

Why would I want to meet a hater like yourself anyway?

hah, lost all respect for the OP.

fyi, what peeves people isn't the fact that people do drugs, it's the STUPID ASS SHIT that SOME people do while they are on drugs, the people that can't handle their share. that is, a n00b.
