Drugs in the rave scene

In all honesty, I never would have fallen in love with Techno music, if it hadn't been for ecstasy. I mean I've always thought it was kind of cool, but I never fell in love with it and started listening to it religiously until I was introduced to ecstasy. I hate when people say. Raves are about the music, not the drugs.

Fuck that shit. It's about BOTH. 50% music, 50% drugs. Anyone who says otherwise is either stupid or ignorant. Even if you don't go for the drugs, or don't do drugs, you still better fuckin' realize the important role they play in our beloved rave scene. If you are trying to get drugs outta the scene then you are trying to kill it, and need to gtfo.

I don't give a shit if you do drugs or not when you rave. But you better not say that the rave scene is only about the music.

All right, just needed to get that outta my system. I have to go on this rant every couple weeks, or else I my head might explode, that happens to me sometimes. PLUR bitchez.

I don't agree with that. Just like more than half the people at wood stock are on drugs. It is still not about the drugs it is about the music. Just because you happen to like drugs and a lot of other people there do as well that doesn't make the scene about drugs and its people like you that give it a bad image by saying it is about the drugs. When I talk to people that don't rave and they find out I go to raves the automatic response is so you are into all kinds of drugs. It is this image that gives the scene a bad rep and probably also why more people don't join it because they don't want to be associated with drugs. It really is about the music and if you chose to do drugs thats your choice and do those said drugs enhance your love for the music probably and does it add to everyones good vibe? Damn right it does. People like you set the image of the scene as strictly a drug scene and thats why the cops are cracking down on it so hard because of this image that the media and even you promote. Ravings not about drugs. It is about having a good time dancing with your friends and meeting new people. If you can't have fun without the drugs maybe you shouldn't be going at all. I know I have fun without drugs but I chose to do them because it makes the fun I am already having better and also it makes me more outgoing. Thats just my opinion and I'm not saying you are wrong. I am just stating my views on this.

I think that the rave scene is how its percieved. If someone goes for the music, for that person, its for the music. For others its drugs. then combos, then those for the people. What MAKES UP a rave is just really what people want it to be. Sure its made up of drugs, but its made of of everything else too. Its just what the people feel they want or need.
